Recently I have been experimenting with CAA/CAW parts and mixing them with in game superstars/arenas. First up on the block is WCW Nitro I did'nt like the black barriers so decided to replace the barriers with the railings from CAA.

My Nitro will be based on the 1995/1996 version

Need to fix

• Turnbuckle shape as WCW turnbuckles were a litttle flatter
• Remove tron during gameplay
• Remove tron from entrance
• Add WCW flags to the roof
• Fix the floor where the old barricade was
• Try and remove the red lighting from the crowd as it's way to overpowering.
• Remove Nitro logo from the ring mat
• Remove spotlights from the crowd
• Remove red light from entrance
• Fix WCW Logos on ewither side of ramp as they are too big
• Fix the Ring Skirt
• Add the crash mats around the ring if possible
• Add WCW crowd
• Remove the light glow from the stairs that are in the crowd

 

Update 1

Fixed the lighting in the crowd, the ring mat, apron  and the floor underneath the railings.

Update 2

Started work on the crash mats, a long way to go as textures will need remapping and models moved.

Nice, my question is, If we can replace the barricade, could we also replace the stage for some other  from the CAA?

I can't see why not, however you may be limited as you can only replace items thar are smaller in size than the original, also you would need to replace the textures and repoint the yobj file to the correct texture.

Is threre not a possibility to update arc files for non wrestler ? It helps me for the WCW Arena Patch from Hatovio and it worked with a bigger sized.

It works for me on the new_MatchHD.pac and new_evtgdhd.pac. Only load the pac file were the size gets bigger after edit and click on update arc for non wrestler. Dont know for Xbox but this work for me on Ps3.

I mean the actual YOBJ files Anabolica, you cannot inject a bigger YOBJ into another it crashes the game. The YOBJ you are replacing has to be smaller than the YOBJ currenlty in place.

Thanks, my biggest challenge is to remove the red lighting that is plagueing the entrance...I want those WCW logos to be silver and at the minute they are red. I know they are not texured red since the model files point to a texture thats used on truss rods so it must be a lighting issue somewhere.

It looks like the WCW logos in the entrance may need to stay red as they controlled by something within the YOBJ file itself, not sure what yet though, I've checked the Starrcade arena and the WCW logo in that arena is blue so may compare both to see what diffences I can find.

Can you move the commentary desk closer to the entrance like wcw with xrey ?

Quite possible, although when you run the game the commentators would be statnding in the original spot.

At the moment I am trying to sort out the WCW logos on either side of the entrance ramp...they are a bright red and can't be textured over..

how are you thinking of adding the crash mats? is it a similar process to the swapping of the barricades? I'd like to do this with my RIW arena if possible. I'd also like to swap the modern day announce table for the old pre 2002 one featured in some of the older WM arenas.

I need to try and find some models that are not needed or not in view that are large enough in size to swap out some CAA items with.
