bluemonkeymagic Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 "My opponent and I learn this in the most agonising, enthralling manner, as Attitude Adjustments are blocked and reversed into RKOs, and then back again, at least half a dozen times. At one point, Cena finally hit his 'AA' and all looks lost... only for me to kick out at a count of two and 99/100ths. We both leap out of our seats in such sweary astonishment that the event photographer hurries over, hoping for a repeat performance." http://www.computerandvideogames.com/475658/previews/hands-on-wwe-2k15-looks-to-be-a-true-brawl-for-all-at-last/ Quote
seanironmaiden Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 sounds good. be interesting to see if there's actually a finisher reversal that transitions into your own finisher or if its just the same as last year, reversing the move and giving you a full finisher meter Quote

Twistedmisery666™ Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I didn't like how they said wrestling was fake in that article.punches and storyline ya ok but the moves are not. Quote

the King Lives Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I get this all the time when playing against friends.... i'm thinking more along the lines of hitting the rko instantaneous while jumping off cena's shoulders. Isn't that something people have wanted? Reversing a finisher into a finisher? I know i have Quote

You get a boost in them when you reverse a finisher. Quote
seanironmaiden Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I loved the momentum system from Day of Reckoning, basically meant that you could have a finisher done to you but you basically couldn't be pinned if your momentum was high. It led to some pretty awesome and lengthy matches Quote
GRTFAJ™ Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I think this idea of reversing an AA into a RKO is pretty good but the bad part of this would be that some finishers cannot be reversed into other finishers for example, how the hell are you going to reverse an RKO into a powerbomb instantly? You cant and I'd be kinda cheesy for certain wrestlers having it and others not. That's why I think they're not gonna add this feature. Quote

I hate the kick into a power bomb Quote

But that's not instantly, that's the same thing if you do it in this year's game, you reverse the RKO and then Y or triangle for the finisher. What I mean is instantly, at the moment, in one motion. Beyond The Ropes Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 They should have the controls be R2/RT to normally counter the finisher and receive full momentum for your own, or L2/LT + R2/RT to go straight into a transitional finisher counter. Obviously that could be like the new feature like the catch finisher option, where you need to have that specific move to do it. (Although I think it would be more similar to the double AA, Chokeslam, Shellshock.) Where it would be highly limited in what moves there would actually be. The RKO, is one... The only other ones off the top of my head that I can imagine are submissions, which I don't feel like they would execute very well the first time or two around, but I could be completely wrong. I personally would be just fine with a lot more, and also better looking catch finishers. Like a pop up powerbomb for one. Quote

Beyond The Ropes Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I never really minded it. Made things just a bit more difficult, at least back when it was divided into strike or grapple counters. But that was probably just because the animations and stuff were so fast paced that you couldn't always guarentee a counter like you can in the new games with just muscle memory alone. That's one reason 2k14 gameplay angered me. There should never be a time that you can pretty much 100% of the time get the counter. Quote
