Ring Step colour?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to change the colour of ring steps for an arena, the arena I want to mod has blue steps and I need black.

Otherwise Im going to have to use a different arena as a base which will create more problems than it solves.

You have to edit in 2 places. To appear the black steps on the entrance you have to edit the evtobj.pac and to apepar the black steps in-match you have to edit the m2.pac.

does every arena have steps in the evtobj pac? or when you edit the colour from silver, do they change for every arena with silver steps?

I Guess that each arena as their own step, because you i search for textures on the evtobg.pac what i find the most are steps textures. I have never modded the steps. I have only  modded the Ladders in wwe 13. I'm assuming that its the same process

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, if I change the step colour will it change the step colour for all the arenas that have that colour of steps?

Hmmm bad news, the ring steps colour info is in the bg file somewhere, there must be something that tells the game what colour steps to use.

You mean the texture is in the bg.pac?

No I dont think so, the texture is where you said it was but something in the bg file tells the game which steps to choose from the evtobj and m2.pac.

I replaced an arena with black steps with an arena with blue steps but when I load it in game the arena still has blue steps. If there was just a set of steps in the evtobj for each arena slot then the steps shouldve been black still.

It's the "slo_step.dds" that's inside the same file of RingAprons, Mat etc.

Inside 0190 texture archive? None of the arenas Ive looked at seem to have it.

If i'm not mistaked i've edited that texture in some random arena in wwe 13 and didn't changed nothing.

Yeah... I Just checked WCW Nitro Arena 0190 file, it's inside here. Same goes for RAW, SmackDown, WM30 Arenas.... However looks like "old" arenas like WM1 - WM19 don't have those files.

Perhaps somebody found something about this issue? Has anybody found a way to change the color of steps in these old arenas?
