OLD ACCOUNT Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) I read some where that Vince doesn't want WWE games to be on PC. So its not going to happen. Wow. I mean, that sounds totally plausible and real. VINCE MCMAHON HAS A PERSONAL VENDETTA AGAINST PCS! Edited August 26, 2014 by BaylEmma Quote
the King Lives Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 maybe I'm wrong (yes it can happens, even if it's more unusual than ryder holding a title) but I think some years ago thq said that it's because of wwe if we don't have WWE licensed games on PC anymore. I don't see why 2k wouldn't want to release a pc version as they do it for nearly all their games (and all of them are modding friendly) Tich you're never wrong! and don't let anyone tell you other wise! Titavius Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 You need to buy a console... I wouldve expected better from a modder touche.. we're still never gonna see a WWE game on PC though. if I were Mr "Regins", I wouldn't get my hopes up Quote
Miz_fit Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 It Should Relase In WII Since next gen is out I can't see that happening. Speaking of which, does the game have a higher chance of being on PC or WII? Quote
El Buvor Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 If the WWE Smackdown games are coming to PC, it's now or never with the Eco-Motion Engine ported on PC (the first game on PC could be WWE2k16 I believe). None of Yukes engines were ported to PC before (the Smackdown engine only existed on PS1, then PS2/Wii, then 360/PS3, the DOR engine only existed on PS2, GC and 360). WWF Raw was easily ported because the Xbox was a PC look alike (but it sucked anyway). Also, the PC gaming is evolving in a fast way, many console only publishers are now publishing their games on PC (Namco Bandai or Konami for example) and Steam is a fucking good way to promote console gaming with the 360 controller support, Steam Big Picture etc... The only thing that's blocking WWE2k series on PC is the WWE. I think that if 2k is showing enthusiasm porting WWE games on PC with a great engine, great controls and great performances, I believe that we could see other WWE games on PC soon. Also, the PC community is not full of crying little douchebags, it's mainly gamers that just want to play their favorite games on their hardware. I'm mainly a console gamer now (still playing on PC sometimes, DOTA2, Diablo 3 etc...) but seeing some little fuckers having a condescending tone here is making me sick. If you have nothing interesting to say, just shut up, seriously. Quote

Speaking of which, does the game have a higher chance of being on PC or WII? The WII. There have been WWE games in the past on the WII, the last one being WWE 12, while PC hasn't had a game in years. It would be too easy to mod the game on PC anyways, we already have to deal with hacked movesets on console, imagine the clusterfuck we'd deal with on PC. Quote

PC games already have fairly good online anti-cheat systems in place and bans for cheating are not uncommon. I think multiplayer would actually be much better on PC. Most modding has nothing to do with cheating. A PC version that embraced modding and even provided the tools to do it would be amazing. Quote

MykeMadness Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I personally can't play games on PC. My laptop is far too slow but I definitely agree that it should be an option in the future. Truth is the higher spec PCs are going to handle the game better than consoles will. Quote
Titavius Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I've been modding on PC long before I had a JTAG, and so for me, console modding is a breath of fresh air. Once you start, It's a can of worms. Very perplexing and time consuming, but if you get a good result, you also get a nice sense of achievement. If we were to see a WWE game on PC however, it may cut modding time by half, which is obviously a bonus. I think there are positives and negatives to having the franchise come to PC. This is my intelligent input as opposed to just writing "get a console". Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 True, not only that but I'm constantly thinking is my PS3 going to die on me lol. So modding on a PC would be great! but I don't think it's going to happen. Quote
Fozy Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 It'll mean Yukes would have to build a port or a new framework that works on both PC and Consoles. Considering how much Yukes doesn't like hard work, I can't see them making much of an effort. Perhaps one day we'll get better developers at the helm to bring in much needed changes to the franchise. PS2 and Xbox got the regular version of Spider-man 2, but on PC? they got the Point and click version. It was Awful Quote
