Looking for a tutorial.....

For editing the start screen, I have looked around for about a week through diff threads, before I decided to ask for help.

I managed to find out that I need the extracted EM00 & EMBG files, but after that I'm lost, I have tried uncompressing the files inside them. But I can't open the ones I wind up with.

Thanks for any help you can give me,

You have to manually rxtract the Rocks image using a hex editor :)

Could you explain how to extract them manually with hxd?

Sure, I'll type something up later for you unless Mr Buvor sees this first :)

Open 1B59.pac in a hex editor and yuo will notice at the top of the file 3 DDS files

Do a search for DDS until you come to the 2nd instance of the text DDS this is the start of the Rocks DDS file.

Sry for my ignorance but i didn't get it.

This is what i've done:

- Uncompress the 1B59.zlib

- Drag the 1B59.zlib.uncompressed to the hxd

But what do i do now? How do i extract the rock dds image? Do i select everything from the second DDS until the end?

Im guessing select everything from the 2nd DDS until the 3rd DDS

Copy and paste it into a new file and save it as a DDS, then open it and check its the rock pic.

If it works fine then you can make your own dds file and paste it in place of the rocks pic in the original pac file.
