Connor MacLeod Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I want to make Drew's pants completely non shiny, I remembering doing this once last year to get rid of the shine on Trish Stratus's pants. I only did it once though and it has been so long I forgot how I did it. Can anyone be so kind as to jog my memory? Edited August 20, 2014 by Connor MacLeod Quote
Titavius Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 you need to edit the alpha channel. The lighter you make the texture in the alpha, the shinier it will look in-game. Quote
XIII XHP Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I'm guessing to make something less shiny, you'd make it darker? Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 That's the first thing that came to mind was the alpha. But it still was shiny and I turned those suckers solid black. Quote

With some of those models, parts will still appear shiny even after making them very dark in the alpha. also, I wouldn't use solid black. usually, solid black will make a texture transparent, in your case, that might be why the parts still appear shiny. in photoshop, go to your colour swatch and enter code #010101. its not black, but it's the next closest to it. Connor MacLeod Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 It's his 2k14 model and thanks man I will try that. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I've already done an attire for him, using the 3MB model, where I made the leather pants into jeans, and regardless of how dark you change the alpha, they'll still be a little shiny. Still, it's enough to get the job done. Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 got it done thanks guys. OTE sounds like you may have been thinking and done what I am trying to do now, the outfit he wore when he returned to ICW to save Jack Jester? Jack Jester now there's a guy I wouldn't mind modding if it wasn't for all those weird shaped designs on his outfit. Quote

Well, I needed some street gear for him long before then for the shows I do on YouTube. The stuff that I did make I put together back in like April, I want to say, but it's essentially the same idea for the attire as far as the jeans go. His ICW return was crazy as hell, though. Quote
