MykeMadness Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 (edited) Hello Smacktalks My name is MykeMadness and I am very fresh and new to actually modding at all. I do not have a jtagged console so unable to try these on a console but for me this is all about having fun and enhancing my computer graphics ability. All I ask is please be gentle with me and give good rounded advice instead of ripping me a new one. My first try at a texture edit was actually myself in my gimmick Myke Madness. I thought it would be awesome to try as I know myself better than other wrestlers. Below is a render from 3DS Max of what I have done so far. This is a long way from being complete or even ready for me to start (trying to) mess with the actual model editing (no idea where to start but give it a go soon). Plus, I am confused by difference between normals and color etc. Any advice or feedback would definitely help me as I'm also confused as to which wrestler to start modding. I'd definitely like to do someone new. Thanks for all the help from everyone so far. Edited September 3, 2014 by MykeMadness Quote

MykeMadness Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Why watermark the texture? It is of me. If anyone wanted to play as me they are welcome to haha Quote
tekken57 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 WElcome. It's always nice to see new modders Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks Tekken. Just trying to work out who my first official mod should be. Quote
Andy Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Thanks Tekken. Just trying to work out who my first official mod should be. It should be Stephanie Mcmahon from Summerslam Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 That actually is not a bad call in the slightest Anabolica. Looks like I'll need to go grab references and start working out how to do this. Quote
Andy Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Would be great and the original attire is good to make the summerslam attire. Only the elbow pads cant be removed but its ok with. Glad you make it, maybe the bella too ? Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Dunno about Bella. Always hated the Bella twins! Lol Once I've got a free moment I'll get on it. Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Okay, first official mod I shall be making is Summerslam 2014 - Stephanie McMahon Now, this is NOWHERE near complete. It is just a play around with the model so I can see what issues I may run into. At present, it looks like the issues could be the tshirt sleeves (at present covered with skin tone), the elbow pads (as Anabolica said) and possibly other things I have yet to encounter. I'm sure there is likely a way to edit the model to sort these issues out but at present, I am still a very fresh newbie to texture editing/modding. Hope this update seems cool. Quote
Smk™ Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 looking good man personally i m not a fan of making arm wears like elbow pads in skin they always looks wierd in game imo Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks SMK. Definitely agree with you there. All I can think of is possibly making the model editable and hiding the pads inside the arm or just keeping her with the pads. I'm also not a fan of the sleeves but the attire doesn't feel right if they are there. Either way this has a LONG way to go. Quote
Andy Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) Oh i dont see your progress, you can edit your Mod Thread Name in future so we see what you actually do.my fault i forgot the tshirt.... hmm anyo0ne with xrey is this possible to erase ? Edited August 25, 2014 by Anabolica Quote
bugsyboy Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 You cant take it out just move it to reach your new shirt and put some elbow texture to cover the elbows maybe Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 welcome to the addiction known as modding..... My names Undertakerwlf and I'm an addict lol Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 An update from this evening. Been working on trying to get the top front completed. I got hold of a video of her match with Brie at Summerslam so got to find some great screenshots to move forward. I'll likely finish the top half before moving onto the bottom half which does look to be slightly tricky. Thanks for all the assistance and kind words so far. I am happy to be welcomed by you all. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Quote
Red Rooster Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I hope thats not a real tattoo on your face.... Quote
tekken57 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Looking food so far. Looks like Steph's sleeves are going to need some modelling work. Quote
MykeMadness Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) Thanks Tekken. Looks like considerable mod work to be done. I'll worry about that once I have the texture finished. For instance, stephs "chest" is slightly bigger now. Also, think I need to swap hair style a little too. @redrooster Nope. Only Uso face paints. Although, still trying to find the stuff that sticks around longer than 5 seconds of wrestling. Edited August 26, 2014 by MykeMadness Quote
Codes. Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I wouldn't have made her chest bigger. It got smaller if anything like she did. http://theinterrobang.com/stephanie-mcmahon-im-still-ripped/ Quote

Wishful thinking maybe. Quote
