Too much focus on next gen?

It's no secret that the game will be better to play on PS4/XboxOne, but have they put too much focus on next gen and to little on PS3/Xbox360? I mean it's pretty bad that only next gen consoles get My Career which is going to be a very huge part of the game.

EA have also put a lot effort on FIFA 15 for next gen and not som much for PS3/Xbox369. I am going to purchase PS4 very soon 'cause of that very reason.

It's understandable that they make the game better for next gen consoles but are they overdoing it?

Why put effort into previous gen? You don't see people still making games for PS2 or original Xbox. Point is it's the new consoles that will make money, and the devs will want a slice of that. It's unfortunate around the time of the switch for the people on the now previous system, but that's life.

To achieve a better game, they have to look to the future. Putting focus on a past generation only limits what you can achieve right now, and that also hinders the future as well. That's just how things are.

I can't say whether or not there's too much focus on next-gen because coverage just started a week ago, but I still think 2K15 on PS3/360 will be a lot like past games--similar look, (hopefully) updated gameplay, a single-player "historical" mode, Creation tools, and maybe Universe mode since the MyCareer thing is only on next-gen.

 

We'll least we can mod the the 360/ps3 versions.. I know I'll be playing on ps4 but can't wait to mod it on 360:).

 

This and a lack of money is why I'm keeping my 360.

There's no point in releasing the same game for both generations of console when you have hardware that can produce not only a better product but a product with alot more content because of the better hardware. This isn't THQ that churn out the same crap for the 360 and the PSP.

@RamNag it's because they want to make want a Next Gen console. They want to make the previous gen look like shit compared to Next Gen so you can get a Next Gen Console and play the game on the Next Gen console. The did it with PS2 Now it's PS3's and XBOX 306's turn. They would even go as far downsize and not update previous Gens mods and Graphics just to make you want Next Gens games.

Modding + PC is better and can be stronger than the PS4 if you have the hardware for it..

 

In PC you dont need to fucking buy a stupid console.. Fuck that shit.. Replace your graphics card.. Easy as fuck and not as much money lost...

I'm hoping for new weapon physics that work more fluidly, plus 12 people in the ring at once confirming 4 on4, 5 on 5 and 6 on 6 matches. As well as more people being in the ring in a Rumble match since Next Gen can handle a higher number of high quality models on 1 screen.

reason why they focusing more on the new gen consoles are because they trying to push the boundaries of what they can do thanks to the new systems power. but dont get why they would add a big time mode like My Career Mode only on new gen consoles unless it uses something old gen consoles can't do either that or trying to increase the sales of the new gen consoles. but yeah i'ma mainly play on X1 until save editors start to come out then i'ma start using the 360 version

both you and harlot has a point, PC Versions are in demand but the thing is i see people sometimes demanding a pc version half the time (see the 2k forums- that's all the ammunition i will ever need to debate this lol) only want a pc version because either 1) they can't afford a current or last gen system or 2) they want to just torrent the game.  Not saying that's everyone's reason for wanting a pc version but i'd say about 75% of the people that want a pc version will either want it because of reason 1 or 2 that i listed.  It's sad really cause that right there ruins it for everyone.  Although i wouldn't be able to play it on pc anyway since i ended up leaving my gaming pc in jersey lol
