Slateboard Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 For those who don't remember, in the Smackdown! games prior to Here Comes The Pain, they had 4 Move Categories: Power, Speed, Technical, Roughneck. Wrestlers would have Offense and Defense ratings in each of these categories (from 1 to 4), and the moves in the games all fit into one of these categories. So for example,a Back Suplex would be in the Technical category, and Kurt Angle with a Technical Offense Rating of 4 would do more damage with it than Big Show, with his Technical Offense Rating of 2. So with a system like that in place, would it be good for the game compared to the present system? I personally like it because it allowed Wrestlers to play to their strengths and weaknesses in terms of the moves they used compared to the current system, where High Grappling/Striking Strength gives you a major advantage in a match. Any opinions on this? I imagine it would be updated to reflect the changes the game has undergone over the years, but I think it could work overall. Quote
RJJ Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I don't think it would. Beside, How did you know that Show was 2/4 in the TECH category(Angle was obvious with his full power-full momentum Angle slam rating)? As far as remember, all the wrestlers ratings were "?". I think the HCTP/Svr system would fit perfectly(Strength/Durability with each move having different impact power)? Quote

mrelectriccity Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 i dont know, but it would be cool if they brought back the special abilities from the SVR series i loved Mysterio Rolli Polli thing Quote

Yeah, I think it would work if the SD:1-SYM system was based on attack attribute only. Quote
