WWE 2K15 Story, Career Mode and More Revealed

no career mode sucks for last gen players. However, it's not greedy, it's most likely easier to add new game modes to a more powerful platform. These WWE games are running a 10 year engine, it's hard to cram new stuff while using old stuff... Ever tried to add new software to an old computer or go online with your parents old 10 year XP computer? I have and it's hell on earth getting things done with older hardware and creating anything new. I'm not saying it's impossible to add modes like the career mode to last gen, i'm just saying it may be harder. Think about all the modes and features Yukes took out of the old games year to year, it's  hard cramming all that stuff in with dated tech.

 

I'd wouldn't be surprised if the last-gen version of 2K15 ended up being a lot like 2K14 in terms of overall content (one historical mode, Creation tools, etc., etc.).  If they tried cramming any more content in, they'd either have to put the game on 2 discs on the 360 or put the extra stuff online as DLC; both options would end up costing a small fortune.

To me, that's idiotic they will not include the my career mode on PS3/Xbox 360 because most normal people[unless they are insanely rich and can afford it] are still using the last gen consoles until the bugs get worked out of the newer systems.  I can do without the flashy upgraded graphics, even though they look awesome.  But why would they take the career mode away from us last gen console users?  I know 2K want to encourage users to buy the new systems to help out Sony & Microsoft to show off their graphics and improvements, but that is ridiculous!  They should do something to make up for that.....

Depends really. Think about it, members from here come from all around the world, the economies are different meaning things may not cost similarly and end up more and more expensive.

I agree this is one reason I might not be buying this game at launch since this release is the fuck you last gen owners lets favor the current gen owners.

Guys, video games have to keep evolving. Transition periods are tough, but game companies have to think about the future, not the past. Plus, these features are not to cater to current gen owners. It's more to entice others to buy it. Look at blurays. Blurays have special features and DVD's don't. You have to save money (It's not just for the rich) and eventually upgrade. Then you get all those features and better gameplay. It's just how everything works. It's constant evolution. Yes, it sucks for everyone who doesn't have a new console at this moment. I don't either, but one day I will and I'm damn excited the best version of 2k15 is waiting for me when I get there. It's either adapt or perish (Ha ha, Get it? It's a wrestling thing!). Look at the Xbox 360. Nobody makes games for Xbox anymore. It's all about 360. Same for the PS3 to the PS2. It's all about growing. Sony and Microsoft are selling consoles at a fair place, at least in America, for 400. I can't speak for other places, but they lowered the price. Wait for Christmas for bundles and maybe a cheaper version and what not. A little patience is all you need. I don't see any error in their ways. It's all about evolving.

DVD's still have special features I own a ton of DVDs that do. Blu Ray's are over priced just for better pics and sound.

I understand this as well.... Like when they stopped making games on XBOX i was sad but I knew they couldn't improve if they kept on looking back.... I finally got a 360 in 2011 - 2012, finally a PS3 in 2013.... While happy with the PS3 I will be getting a PS4 around October/November along with COD: Advanced Warfighter and WWE 2K15.....

well my thing is it's like MS and Sony doesn't realize that the american economy is still in dire straits.  So yeah the upper class can afford this stuff like it's water but the mid and low class are struggling just to get rent and bills paid.  I think that's why i've always been upset over this new gen thing... i knew it was coming but was hoping it wouldn't have happened atleast for another year but i think i'm good now
