i have a question i have the xrey tool and i don't know how to open colour.jpg can someone help?

Posted

Well, it should be color.png for one thing--just like the tutorial says--so that may be a place to start.

how will i open it?

Posted

In X-Rey? If you have it placed in the same folder as the .YOBJ you're opening--and of course named properly with the right file type--it'll load it up automatically along with the model.

with no yobj file?

No, you need the .YOBJ file. If you have no .YOBJ file, what are you doing with X-Rey?

i made a texture using photoshop and saved as a png how will i open it in xrey.Name of the texture is colour.png

You cant open a texture in xrey only yobj.

You need a yobj model file and get the texture and name it color and save them both in the same folder it will work from there :)

What are you guys saying ?

Even if you can open a texture in xrey which i doubt whats the point ?

Xrey was made to import/ export yobj files so we can edit the models.

Nothing to do with textures.

I made a shit load of mods and i never open a texture in xrey and probably never will

X-Rey only loads the texture in the preview window to show you what your mod looks like. The texture cannot be edited in x-rey, you must use photoshop or another graphics editor.

The texture must be named in the american spelling i.e. "color" instead of "colour" .
