Help with creating normals

Recommended Posts

Hi, so i am making a new mod for Brock Lesnar and was trying to go for the entrance attire in which he would be wearing a t-shirt just like he wore walkout t-shirts in ufc. However i am not very good at creating normal maps. I have at this point have done a very basic texture edit as a test, but i cant create a normal map for it. That is to say I have edited the texture to add sleeves but how do i create a normal map for the texutre. I used nvidia normal maps filter for photoshop, used the default settings and all and managed to create a normal map but when i try to inject it with X-Packer it says the texture file size should be the same as the original. My file size is smaller than original so i tried hex editor to change the size, successfully manged to change the size but still couldnt inject the normal maps. Can anybody please help me?

Thanks in advance
