Story mode and Community DLC - recovery?

So, to cut a long story short, I spent all afternoon yesterday making an awesome, epic story - only to lose it forever by forgetting that Miss Elizabeth is also cursed with the Community DLC problem

 

(for anyone new to the party, Community DLC can be added to story mode, but once you save and exit, if you try to load it again you get a 'Problem with your DLC' message and it won't load)

 

It's a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know of any way to recover a story that has been rendered unusable by including one of these Superstars?

From my experience--as this happened to me with added DLC attires--once it happens, it's done. Maybe someone with more knowledge of how the save files work could figure something out, but I wouldn't count on it. As someone who can relate and spends a ton of time in this mode, I feel for you, dude. Sorry it happened.

Well, obviously, but that's the problem. Once this happens, you're essentially locked out of the file, because it gets a corrupted DLC error--meaning he can't go back in and access it in order to remove her from it.
