Aero Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 First half for sure, I'm really unimpressed by how far we had fallen in the second half though. That said, firminho is starting to look like he's bedding in, benteke is looking a good buy and milner is top class still. Plenty of positives for a team full of new faces! Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Well Balotelli is back at Milan thank christ, now I can enjoy his tomfoolery again Quote
Zark Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Well, fuck that! We fell to shite in second half, Petr is a cunt, but another poor offside judgement saved us. Great first half for the kop, no doubt I'll be told I'm completely wrong by an arsenal fan shortly thoHaha no.... I agree actually! We were playing like shit in the first half, Chambers giving away the ball 30 yards out multiple times nearly cost us! Stepped up our game in the second half and Cech was proving himself! Ref had a bad game though, multiple wrong decisions of both sides! Good game though, was entertaining to watch.... Sadly there were no goals counted Quote

DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Jesus, Jose just doesn't do third seasons does he? Quote
Aero Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 4 games before lovren turned to complete shit again.... Longer than I thought. SHIT Quote
Zark Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Kinda late but oh well....Arsenal's top scorer this season is "Own Goal" Edited August 30, 2015 by Zark Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Well I can't say we deserved to win that match but I certainly don't think we deserved to lose either, I was pleased by Shaw's performance but fucking hell Romero what was that?!? I was also pleased how our passing and tempo improved but I got very frustrated by how wasteful we became later on in the second half, Swansea are becoming a bit of a bastard to play against Quote
AjSim Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Race for second should be interesting this year...no-one is getting near City, but all the rest are looking equally inconsistent. I'll go for City, Arsenal (if they get a proper striker), Chelsea, Utd...Liverpool 5th Rodgers out Klopp in (I hope). Quote

That quartet up top is just terrifying...add to the fact the defense seems to have remembered how to defend and you have a recipe for champions. Still plenty of unpredictability though...as said before the remainder of the top 4 is pretty open, relegation fight is anyones guess and what about first manager to be pushed/jump? Would never have even thought about it pre-season but to right now Mourinho looks to be as likely, if not more likely than Advocaat. Not just the results but his behavior in general reeks of a guy not getting his own way. Quote
Aero Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Hoping Liverpool.do shite to get a new manager? That's fucking retarded!ref was a wanker in that united game, inconsistent, soft yellows and nothing for tougher challenges. Still, uppa swans!! Quote

That's fucking retarded!ref was a wanker in that united game, inconsistent, soft yellows and nothing for tougher challenges. Still, uppa swans!!Realistically after the money we have spent in the last 4/5 years we have only ever gone sideways or backwards (Freak Suarez inspired season aside). Simply not good enough to challenge, nor will we ever be under a second rate manager like him. So if finishing outside of a champions league place means we getting someone is that could actually give us at least a fighting chance going forward, then yeah I'm all for it. I wouldn't call 5th shite by our standards recently either...which says it all. Quote
Aero Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Last years signings were majority shit, this years are looking better, you have to realise that fsg have a business model, and klopp would have to stick to that too, assuming we'd evrn get klopp. also got Gary Mac working on the coaching staff now and he'll start to make a big impact. We're 4 games in, made arsenal look like shit in the first half of that game and are on equal points with united, arsenal and ahead of Chelsea. I fully believe we'll Mount a good challenge for the top 4. It'll be tough, but that's mostly due to all the smaller teams realising they can actually go up against the big dogs and get results these days, big signings or not. Have a bit of respect and hope for your team or fuck off and join the man city plastics. Quote

Have a bit of respect and hope for your team or fuck off and join the man city plastics. Business model...don't all clubs? It's just a posh way of saying spend the same or less than you accrue, outside of City and Chelsea I'd say most PL clubs have to abide by that rule these days. Not saying we would get Klopp for sure but he'd definitely be a good fit for us if you look at what he did on a very limited budget at Dortmund, pus Klopp at the Kop...meant to be lol.I do agree our business has been much better this year but last year was a clusterfuck so wouldn't take much beating. Also I'm a local lad, up until a few seasons ago owned a season ticket and lived 3 streets down from Anfield, so calm the tone...I'm more than entitled to my opinion. Because I don't have my head in the clouds doesn't mean I'm not loyal, I'm just realistic and want to see some of our stature return...which just won't happen under Rodgers. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 36 million on a 19 year old....kill me 1 Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 So Januzaj signed a one year loan deal with Dortmund Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 And Hernandez is gone, christ I feel a bit worried now Quote
AjSim Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 ...De Gea and Lindegaard leaving too Joey! Unless they spring a surprise last minute signing (not Martial) of real quality, what looked like a great window for you suddenly looks a bit shit! Crazy. Quote
DrJoeyMagnum Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 To be fair the De Gea deal sounds great 29 million plus Navas great deal, Lindegaard hadn't played in nearly 2 years! so that's not so bad but losing Adnan who was looking decent so far and Javier who is good striker is worrying Quote
AjSim Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I wouldn't rate Navas or Romero anywhere near De gea's level...good price for him but a drop in quality is a drop in quality. Surprised with Januzaj, not so much Hernandez...the Martial deal looks crazy to me though, almost Andy Caroll like On the plus side for you rightback and central mid has been strengthened for sure, still can't see anything above 4th for you though, even that may be too much depending on how unhinged that dutch psycho gets. Great to watch though Quote
