Rodgers said himself balo was a gamble but a gamble he had to take. Furthermore, he only wanted to Loan him but that would have cost £10m so buying him for £16m made more sense. If we can shift him for £10m we're better off than the loan deal. Quote

We sell good players e.g Reina, Kuyt and Agger for 1mill?? Wtf is that about.... A good keeper, an engine and a really good defender all for 3mill put together??? Then he got injury prone, then Rodgers didn't want him. Kuyt was getting past it and, other than his energy. He was very clumsy, agger was getting injury prone and requested to go back to his old team brondby who couldn't afford more that what they paid. Reina told us he was going to barca, we signed a new keeper, Reina's deal fell through and, without European football we couldn't afford 2 well paid keepers Yes, we've overspent on a lot of players, but look at what we paid for coutinho... There's still the odd bargain we get out there... Lovren for £20m however? "Ridiculars" indeed! Joey, the way this league is going, everyone is still in danger of finishing 8th lol Quote

DrJoeyMagnum Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 It's doable I think, Chelsea haven't been great since Christmas and they have some toughie games ahead like United at home and Arsenal away and I have a feeling they'll slip against some of the smaller teams, now with that said I'm not getting my hopes up the target for us was a top 4 place and we're pretty much home and dry on that one Quote

For the record, I still don't see the hype with sterling, he's quick, but can't place a ball and his shooting lacks too, most of his assists are to people like Suarez or sturridge who can actually do something as long as they get the ball at all Quote
