uTorrent/Installing Program Help Needed

I need some help, I didn't really know how to explain it in words so I recorded it. When I try and install uTorrent it just opens instead of giving me installation settings, so I think that it hasn't properly installed. And then I can't delete the file afterwards. Can anyone give me any help? Basically I need help on how to get the installation settings up. Thanks in advance

Because you can torrent things that aren't movies, TV shows, games etc. I could write a poem, save it and then upload it as a torrent. If it isn't copyrighted and you have permission to upload it, then it's perfectly legal. Exactly the same as Mediafire or Mega or any filesharing website.

Firstly for your install prefs just go to 'Options' and then 'Preferences'

2ndly you cant delete an application if it still running , right click utorrent in the system tray and press exit.

And lastly do not switch off your firewall....you'd be an idiot to do so, just forward your ports. through your router to allow utorrent traffic.

What fufu said, also I think it's legal to download movies and etc as long as you have a copy. So just to back it up, just like backup games.

I think the only time I legally downloaded something is when I accidently ticked "Check out this free download" when I was installing uTorrent a while back

There's only one version on the main page at the moment, but if that doesn't come with the installer you can download one of the beta or latest stable builds from them and see if that includes a proper installer.

If it doesn't come with an installer, just create a folder in your Start Menu and move the standalone .exe file to that folder. Then you can launch it from the Start Menu or create a shortcut to it on your Desktop, etc. just as if it was installed.

Thanks for the replies guys, I tried downloading a beta version but it still didn't have a proper installer. I've just put the file into my "Program Files (x86)" and I've pinned it to my taskbar. Thanks for all the help This can be closed now.
