OverTheEdge Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 This is something that's been on my mind for quite a while now. I feel like I may have seen it mentioned before, but I have no recollection of whatever context it was in to search around for it. Basically, my question is if there's a way to disassociate a Superstar or Diva from his or her respective commentary lines, ring introduction, etc.--pretty much what's tied to their ch number? I feel like if there was it'd have something to do with the strings, but that's a hunch at best. Quote
Red Rooster Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I have been looking into this, changing the WrestlerID in the pofo gets rid of the commentary lines but not the ring introduction. Im guessing the ring introduction is tied to the slot number. What we need to do is find a way to change what slot number is associated with each tile on the selection screen so for eg. when I select the tile that The Rock is in it doesnt associate with slot 100 but another slot of my choosing. 1 Quote
tekken57 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 If your intention is for the commentators to refer to a dlc character as one of the in game characters e.g. a dlc character being referenced as the rock, then you need to change the wrestler id in the pofo to that of the rock i.e. 100. As for the ring introductions, not sure how to turn that off. I searched for a call name value in the wrestler info file a while ago but couldn't find one. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 My intentions are for them to refer to some of the in-game guys as nothing at all--as if they were an NPC or something. Everything I do with these games heavily comes down to Story Designer, so anything involving DLC modding can get pretty messy pretty quickly. Even adding additional attires for the DLC through another in-game Superstar's pac can corrupt a Story Designer file. I've also read that the custom DLC deal doesn't even work in that mode, which is all the more reason why I'd rather simply just replace the people in the game I have little to no use for as opposed to try and add more through the DLC method. I can easily live with the ring announcing--as I edit all of that in myself, so the commentary would be the main issue. Awesome to see that there's actually a solution to this. Now I just feel foolish for never asking sooner. Thanks, guys! Quote

Custom DLC characters do work in Stroy Designer, I tried it the other day, I had tekkens sting in a scene along with Nsienski's Glacier Quote

I'd hate to bug you over it, but any word of what happens if you save a story file with a match/cutscene set up including one of them in it, exit the mode, and then go back in and load up the file again? I only ask because with the attires I've added for DLC, if I include any of them and do that, upon re-entering, it gives you a corrupted DLC message and won't let you access the file, despite everything else working just fine. I've found that any Custom DLC can be selected in the first instance, but once you try to load your saved story you get a 'Please re-download your DLC' message. Same thing with the 'fixed' pre-order ones like the additional title belts Quote

Red Rooster Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Ah ok, Ill give it a try but I guess I will get the same result as you guys, I'd never tried to save it Quote
tekken57 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Also get the same corrupt dlc issue. @ote, if you want the replaced wrestlers not to be referenced by the commentators, set the wrestler id to one of theunused dlc slots. Quote
