BrotchMrToast Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) This^ right here was probably one, if not the, worst "dark/mystery" promos I have EVER heard, and you want to tell me that this joke is better than Wyatt? Without his streak Taker would've been dust in the wind. Wanna know why the crowd chanted "boring" when Wyatt cut his promo? Because Jericho is a charismatic god. Bray Wyatt is new and a very great talent, but it's hard for someone who's new to entertain a crowd by insulting one of their favourite superstars all time. Of course they are chanting "boring". When Bray Wyatt did the same to Cena, everyone was cheering, because nobody fucking likes Cena. People who say "XY wouldn't stand a chance in the Attitude Era" are making me sick. X-Pac survived in the Attitude Era, but if he would've debuted today he wouldn't have been treated any better than Trent Barretta. The fact of the matter is that during the start of the Attitude Era, the WWF was under very bad condition due to the WCW taking the top. They had very few Superstars to work with, but made the best out of it. Today, every young wrestler desires to get signed by the WWE. The WWE has so many great superstars to work with, that figuratively every Attitude Era Superstar, if they would debut now, could not stand a chance today. (Except for a good few exceptions, Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels or Triple H to name a few). For example, Kane was one of the very few really strong and athletic Big Man back then (next to Vader[who wasn't really used at all in the WWF] and Undertaker, who he was constantly feuding with). Today, he would be just another one of those next to Big E, Luke Harper, Alexander Rusev, Brock Lesnar, Titus O'Neill, BRAY WYATT, Big Show etc. Todays standards are much higher. Sir Flash™ Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 @jeffsdomain: Definitely agree with you there. Guys like Cesaro or Bray Wyatt probably wouldn't have been even middle of the card in WWF or WCW during the boom period. I honestly do not get the net worship for Wyatt, I think he outright sucks! Cesaro might have potential but he's gotta have that one career defining breakout moment to get to the top. Or else he'll be just another mediocre mid-carder who can only wrestle and not much else..... yeah and i hate to go digging up old dirt, but look what happened to brodus clay as well as Drew McIntyre.. they put both of them in horrid gimmicks and guess what? they're released LOL @jeffsdomain: Definitely agree with you there. Don't forget the guys that had good gimmicks and were Released like: Chris Masters, Shelton Bennjamin, etc. To me Bray is a guy that bores the shit out of me every time with his wannabe Wrong Turn, Purge, Devils Rejects horror thriller gimmick. Every single time he gets hit or takes an impact he jiggles like Vanilla Jello. The reason why people even cheer for his lame ass because they THINK his lame ass dark persona gimmick can take Undertakers for this era of wrestling(PG)......Which is soooo far from true. The damn crowd know he's lame because on RAW they called him boring. You see guys like Taker, Kane, etc. have set a path for dark persona gimmicks, and to those fans Bray Wyatt is better than no superstar with a dark persona..... Most crowds these days suck except for a few cities in this country now. Were way better back then...... Quote

Most crowds these days suck except for a few cities in this country now. Were way better back then...... It's because most of the real Wrestling fans have stopped watching it nowadays. Before the WWE Network They either watched Wrestling from the eras before it went PG on YouTube or don't at all. Now since they have came out with the WWE network those people if they want to can watch wrestling fron their favorite era. If you actually think that the WWE Network was something to expand the WWE then you have been totally mislead. WWE Network is really a thing to bring old fans back to WWE without watching WWE today. They made the WWE Network because sooner or later WWE would have been actually gone to the children and their parents...hell it already has; And proof was when it was announced Vince was no longer a billionare. I know the WWE Network came out before then but it takes a while to go from Billionare back to Millionare. Quote

ThePacmanClassic Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Looking forward. Sting will do this to Lil' Timmys (as said in commercial) & Lil' Jimmys who don't pre-order Note: There's another version of this where he smacks him into banister & throws him into a cabinet at end.
