Nate Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Hello and welcome to Smacktalks very first signature of the week, the whole concept is to create a forum signature using the render and/or theme provided. With that out of the way, here are the rules of submitting your finished product. - You have 5 days from now to PM me your finished product, I'll keep everybody updated on the deadline as it comes closer in the thread. - Once again, you must PM me your submission, do not post it in the thread as we don't want people stealing others ideas after seeing their work. - Do not post your signature anywhere on the site before hand to keep all entries anonymous. - Do not have your name on your signature as I want all entries to remain anonymous to make sure no bias takes place during the voting. - Max canvas size of 500x250. With that out of the way, here is the render you must create the signature out of! Edited July 9, 2014 by Nate Quote
fufu ÷ Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Exactly 200x450? As in no smaller? No thanks, I like to have a little freedom with my canvas. Quote
Tamer™ Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I think 500X250 is a better size, but that's just me. Quote
Nate Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 eh, I just wanted everyone to work on the same canvas. I'll remove the rule. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I don't mind there being a maximum canvas size, but there shouldn't be just one size that everyone has to use. It kills creativity. Like basically whatever the forum limits are should be the maximum. idek what it is here though. Quote

Nate Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 well, added 500x250 as max canvas size than. Quote
Fozy Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Cry more fufu, you need to work with boundaries sometimes. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Nope. Boundaries are for commercial designs. Every SOTW ever has always been max size, not set size. The only boundaries that should be set are theme or stock. It's just how it's done. Quote
Fozy Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 No, no it's not. Stop being up your own arse here, and realise that he created this and he created the boundary. If you can't do it, then you ain't good enough. Simple. Quote
delete Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Aw man, I thought that you would pick who had the signature of the week. Otherwise I'm sure I would've won Quote
fufu ÷ Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Nah kid, i've been entering and organising these things for like 7 years +, and it's always been like that. Putting extreme limitations on things is putting limits on artistic vision. I mean admittedly, gfx as an art is dead anyway, but i'd rather be allowed to make my vision how I want it than make something that I wont enjoy doing. I'm asking to be able to maximise my enjoyment of this - and what i'm asking isn't something earth shattering. Leave the talk about this stuff to people who know about this stuff. It'll serve you well. But hey, I already got what I came for, so I don't need to drag it on any longer. Edited July 9, 2014 by fufu ♡ 1 Quote
Fozy Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I don't think you quite understand what I'm actually talking about, but hey. You've been doing it for 7+ years, so I guess you're the expert on shitty sigs. Also, don't call me kid again. Quote
