AgeofSandow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 @AgeofSandow: Brock Lesnar is a product of OVW not NXT He said WWE. So it doesn't really matter. Lesnar left for many years so he can count as current. I missed the rest of post to you, beast, so here is exactly why they are better. They can wrestle. They are versatile and able to do more moves than the bigger men of the past(I have watched classic wrestling, as far back as the 70s. So I know.) Movesets are more fun on these young talents. I do not disrespect any wrestler that worked hard to make the business, but they just simply are not as fun to use. Get off your nostalgia train and come to reality. Also, notice how the game is titled. WWE 2K15. Not WWE 1980 or 1997. The current is the focus. Quote

Righteous Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The truth is, Legends will always sell more copies. They are more known and popular than say the NXT roster. And that's all that matters to the makers -- what will sell more copies. Having Sting will sell more copies than having Tyler Breeze as the pre order bonus. There are plenty of folks that don't watch now a days, but they certainly know who Sting is. There can always be a balance to the IG roster. But that is up to WWE and the game developers. Quote
Ballard Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 -Billy Gunn -Booker T -DDP -Edge -Goldberg -JBL -Kevin Nash -Ric Flair -Rikishi -Road Dogg -Scott Hall -Shawn Michaels -Sting -Stone Cold -The Rock -X-Pac Those would be perfect the perfect selection for me. I'd use them all regularly as opposed to the past couple of years where I only use 1/3 of the legends. Quote
Yin Yang Bought In Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 As long as they don't put Retro versions of current stars as seperate slots I don't care. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see NXT talent in, but there should be more current stars then legends. Say we're going for a 60 man roster. We could go 30-30 or 40-20. 3 dlc packs, a modern pack (with guys who barely missed cut off date, a legends pack (for the legends fans), and an NXT pack. (For the future.) The tag line should be "Then, Now, Forever" with each represented. Then (legends), Now (current), Forever (NXT) Quote
ajleesus Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 None... Every WWE game half the roster is legends. This is 2014 not 1990? This Quote

BEAST987 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 jeez Beast987 is one ignorant legends fan who thinks its all about legends fans. Its wwe2k15 not wwe 1995 1995 was a horrible year for WWE/WWF, yes am a legends fan tell me one great superstar/ dIVA apart from Punk / Bryan current in the WWE?? Then name me there big moment achievement which makes them better and great than the past professional wrestling. The Ascension, Tyler Breeze, Sami Zayn, Tyson Kidd, Dolph Ziggler, Adrian Neville, Bray Wyatt, Damien Sandow, Cesaro, Rusev, Brock Lesnar. And that's off the top of my head. He doesn't count he has been there since 2002 that's when he became top ,he is a part-timer not a new superstar working his way from the bottom. Plus WWE was good in 2002 . Quote

kidsampson Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The only new legends I expect are Sting and Owen Hart. Others will be recycled from past games, and I expect more emphasis will be given to the giant model wrestlers, which were introduced two years ago. This gave way to the inclusion of Andre, Yoko, and Bundy in the Smackdown series. I expect someone like Earthquake or Kamala to follow just to provide variety in models to choose from. Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I would love to see Earthquake and Kamala in a current WWE game, They used them for SVR2009 and LOWM so why not add them. Quote

best in the world Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I agree 100% with Righteous on this one. Despite the whole "legends vs. current roster" debate, casual fans will always gravitate towards big names and not jobbers. Hell, some older fans who have stopped watching the current WWE product might buy the game just because Sting is the pre-order bonus. I like the current guys and think some of them have much potential. But WWE cannot make a new star and stick with them to save their lives! Which is why they always have to rely on part timer legends for the TV product or using legends in video games. @AgeofSandow: I know you want to put over how much you love NXT. And that is admirable. But NXT isn't well known enough to put out there in favor of other older well established stars. WWE can always use the NXT/current WWE talents for the main roster and then use legends for whatever themed mode they go with. Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 To be fair if NXT is so good why doesn't have its own TV deal why is it on the network. I am sure more people would watch it if it was on TV Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 To be fair if NXT is so good why doesn't have its own TV deal why is it on the network. I am sure more people would watch it if it was on TV You do know that the WWE has some money issues and that a TV Deal costs a ton of money? Quote
best in the world Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The problem is NXT is usually for the hardcore WWE fans and has kind of a cult-like following. The casual fan who doesn't know NXT talent will never want to play as them because they are not familiar with those guys/gals. So look at it realistically: who would you rather play with? Eddie Guerrero or Mojo Rawley? Hollywood Hogan or Adrian Neville? Stone Cold Steve Austin or Tyler Breeze? And for the women, Trish Stratus or Charlotte[Flair's daughter]? The biggest obstacle to NXT is that they have only been around a few years in comparison to the decades that legends have been around. Back then, there were REAL stars who had larger than life personalities. When you watch NXT, you see great ring workers who lack any real personality and until WWE reconciles how to make realistically edgy personalities who can also tell stories in the ring NXT will just be the busch league. Quote
best in the world Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 @RatedRLionTamer: What else would you call it? WWE developmental, NXT is comparable to being a "busch league" for WWE. Seriously, you hardcore WWE marks need to stop being so sensitive. The fact is these "nostalgic modes" or "legends" are well established household names and NXT is not. Whining about it will not change anything..... Quote
Tamer™ Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I'm sick of making compromises for legends. No one said we didn't want Stone Cold or The Rock. We only want the main legends like Stone Cold, The Rock, Ultimate Warrior, Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan etc. The rest should be current and NXT. You can pick apart DLC for all I care as I never actually download the stuff you need to pay for anyway. Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 If you keep living in the past there is no future to progress hence wwe's tag line Than Now Forever not Than Now History Lesson Quote
Yin Yang Bought In Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Get the big legends in (Austin, Hogan, Rock, Nash, Hall etc) and keep the smaller ones out (Big John Studd, Virgil, etc) Quote
OLD ACCOUNT Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Only legends I'd want are Trish, Lita, Edge, Shawn, and short haired Eddie. Rock, Austin, and Flair too. None of the classic stuff, but their most recent or last time we saw them. I don't play as any legends. Waste of space for me. Quote
