TheRealKA250 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 As seen on RAW Monday night, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena, has been confirmed as the cover superstar for the next game. Give your thoughts. Should he be on the cover after winning his 15th consecutive WWE title? Who deserved it more? Quote
Beardy Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Good cover. Understandable why they picked him as the cover boy. Quote
best in the world Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 People are always going to be split on this issue. Mainly because fans either respect and tolerate Cena, totally love him, or outright hate him, which is obvious by his reactions. To me, Cena has earned the right to be on the cover. He promotes the hell out of WWE, does a good job for them as their company face, and he just deserves it. Cena is the embodiment of the WWE and putting him on the cover of 2K15 fits. 15 time champion=2K15. I don't know if WWE intentionally did that, but it works. Besides, there will be other game covers for other WWE Superstars to be on so it's really not that big of a deal to me. The bigger issue for me is how long WWE/2K are going to wait to reveal the pre-order bonus. I have already pre-ordered 2K15 @ Gamestop so it'd be nice to know what you get for that[assuming it'll be Sting]. Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 It's 2ks first full game release of the series without THQ, so it's a smart marketing idea toput WWE's poster boy on the front cover of the game. You can love Cena or hate him but he is a merchandise machine and this will help sales of the game, Quote
Tamer™ Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 He's the perfect voice and representative for 2K's chance to show what they can do with the WWE, WWE will also get more attention this way themselves. Quote
MKC318403 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) Bit like my feelings on his career thus far - I'm indifferent, cover included. What do you think the alternative covers will be? I'd like a tribute to the Shield, Damien Sandow's split personalities and that guy's face at Wrestlemania 30 when Undertaker lost. Edited July 1, 2014 by MKC318403 Quote
