LordBarker Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Had this working perfectly on PS3 using Rooster's great guide but run into some difficulties on 360. I'm using the String05 from DLC5, I follow Rooster's guide as I did before however I cannot uncompress the 5000.pac. All I get is a 0000.pac, not the 0000.zlib.uncompressed. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Did try injecting without compression and went well, but then causes a fatal crash in-game. Cheers Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Yeah the string pac can be a little tricky sometimes it just crashes Xpacker when you try to inject it. Im not sure how I fixed it, I think you need to get a fresh string_dlc5.pac from a fresh copy of the dlc and inject into that. Quote
LordBarker Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Yeah I did see some responses on your original tutorial. So I'll give it another shot after the weekend. Even when it injected it then corrupted the dlc itself. It's no biggie if I can't at the mo - was just for creating some custom names for attires. Quote
LordBarker Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 I'm certainly finding out the differences in modding between the 360 and PS3 I was also surprised you don't get any lighting issues/shiny wwe 12 issues on the ps3 either. But overall the 360 is definitely more user friendly due to save access Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Modding is extremely time consuming either way I think but it does seem the difference in the save makes the 360 easier. The WWE12 wrestler problem doesnt really bother me, I just make a point of not selecting them first or if in Universe then if you just play straight through the matches without exiting to the menu then the problem doesnt seem to happen. LordBarker Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Yeah agreed mate, time consuming but worth it Tbh the 'shiny' models don't bother me either. Id rather have them shiny than not in the game at all. Excellent Boss Man model btw just updated an looks great. Quote
LordBarker Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) Ok got the file to reinject and work fine - however the altered strings do not display. I've checked my 0000.pach through twice and retried it and still no luck. I have 'MEGA POWERS' at A1A5 and 'ULTIMATE MANIACS' at A1A4 and neither display. They DO however display in the unlockable bit, so they are clearly working, just not on attires. I've added them in the correct place in the misc pac and they are either blank or display 'Alabama' - just checking, does the game read attire data from the string05.pac? As I think that could be the issue, that I've edited the strings pac in the DLC 5, but I thought that was correct. *EDIT* Forgot you had to switch the numbers, so A1A5 becomes A5A1 - oops!
