Alcarindir Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 After months of ceaseless chaos I am finally able to try my hand at modding. I have a few noob questions to have answered that will take as much of the pain and confusion out of this endeavor as possible. Up front, I have a PS3 so take that into account. 1. Where can I find the best tutorial for modding? 2. Is there a way to "mix and match" attires for the same wrestler made by different modders? If so, how? 3. Is there a way to name/rename attires? 4. Where can I find a good tutorial for making and injecting custom textures? 5. Has anyone attempted to replace moves and/or entrances? So many of the newer animations suck compared to previous games. I apologize for being a noob but I have just gotten to a point of being able to attempt this. Any help will be appreciated. Quote

Firstly is your PS3 modded and running custom firmware? but to answer your questions 1. Just read through the WWE13 and 2k14 modding section you will find what your looking for. 2. You can mix and match attires, for tutorial see answer 1. 3.You can name attires through the stings, again see answer 1 4. Everyone makes textures differently by that I mean everyones approach is different. 5. You have to think of the WWE games as kind of plug and play, you can swap things from WWE13 and to a degree WWE12 however it's finding a way to do it, so I would think yes they can be done. And everyone starts somewhere, so by all means ask questions. Quote
Alcarindir Posted June 26, 2014 Author Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks for the info. I will be doing some reading very soon. As for the textures, I want to make some of my own but I don't know how to extract vanilla ones or what I would need to inject new ones. I am also wondering about official DLC. I have all of the official DLC packs and the Outsiders. Is there a way to transfer them? I would hate to lose that and not be able to get them back. Same with CAWs. Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 To extract and inject textures you need XPacker made by Tekken57, you have to pay for it but its well worth the money. Heres the thread : Quote

Do what I do and make a backup of your games data in the GAME folder, that way should you mess it up and loose anything you can always fall back on it. As for the save with the CAWS just back up the save. And as Rooster said, you need to check out Tekkens Xpacker it is invaluable and I have been using it since the beginning. @Rooster do you think we will get commision for this? lol Quote
