I just hate how they put so much focus on the nostalgia modes then half-ass stuff like universe and gameplay. It's extremely annoying.

that's what annoyed me.. universe hasn't had any type of innovation really since wwe12.. and they removed you getting damage from a cutscene attack.  I liked in svr11 where if someone ran in and knocked out both wrestlers if you got up and went for the pin, you could get either a near fall or 3 count Then they removed taker's specific lights of run in.  I think that only happens during the streak mode now..  I don't like undertaker running to the ring during interference

 

The lights still go off when interfering. I do hate how even though Kane's lights go off when he interferes, he still runs in the ring. He should walk down the ramp slowly when interfering to give that monster effect to it. Hopefully with Visual Concepts collaborating with Yukes they can put consistent focus within each game mode to give the player a reason to play this game as I like to play a game with effort and thought actually implemented into it and that's what's been missing in these last few games.

@AgeofSandow:  If you look at any wrestling whether it is WWE, TNA, WCW, NWA, or NXT there have always been "screwy endings or DQs".  So saying that alone makes a WCW Mode not worth pursuing is just wrong.  WWE has yet to reveal whether or not Sting will be the pre-order bonus for 2K15, but if the rumors are true it makes sense to do a WCW themed mode.  Think about it: Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan/Hollywood Hogan, Hall, Nash, Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Syxx, Curt Hennig, Macho Man[NWO],The Giant, Rick Rude, Jake Roberts, Dusty Rhodes, and Virgil were all included in 2K14 as DLC.  All people who at one time or another passed through WCW.  And in WWE '13, we got to relive the "Attitude Era" through that mode.  We didn't see any of the perspective from the WCW side of things.  To me, it's a natural fit if they bring back all those DLC characters, the regular 30 Years of Mania roster, and have Sting as the bonus.  If ever there were a perfect time to bring out a WCW themed mode it would be in 2K15 so that adding Sting as the bonus isn't just gratuitous & for the sake of doing it.  Sting in the context of a WCW Mode makes sense and would allow a retro mode while having the main roster to play as too.  A win-win in my opinion and 2K has a history of doing nostalgic things with their NBA games.....

WCW was more screwy than WWE. It was the same ending every time; think pre-wrestlemania this year.  Plus, this is WWE, not WCW.

Yeah, that is just confirmation of the speculation we've already expected.  It's awesome that 2K15 will be the first WWE game that features Sting in it.  WCW Mode?  I know, wishful thinking.....

 

Oh man, what I would give for a full WCW mode without the use of CAWS (although not knocking them) but yeah, a WCW type invasion angle similar to ECW one a few years back, would be excellent.

It won't, previous versions of career mode have lasted up to 5 years in game time. 5 years.

I tell ya, I only play NBA 2K14, because if Association, and MyCareer (as they follow a team, or player's legacy through the NBA). An NXT mode (with the right work done for it) will surely keep me busy. Though, I want it to be a little more branched. Attitude Era, 30 Years of Wrestlemania, and WWE '12's RTWM were all a ONE-WAY STREET.

Even though some of the modes you mentioned are 'One Way Streets' I enjoyed 30yrs of Wrestlemania and the Attitude era mode and I still replay them now. I would like to see them do a theme based on Summerslam since that event has had some fantastic matches in its history.

 

Or have a Monday Night Wars mode where you can play through both WWF and WCW matches, they already have some of the models and as Sting is a bonus pre-order it would be a step in the right direction.

well actually.. if you go by hctp/sym i think those modes lasted forever LOL but yeah i was just throwing out the 6 month thing (i was thinking about how RTWM used to be from 09 - 11 only 3 months lol)

totally agree with you and i know i'm gonna get some hate by saying this and i mean this in the nicest way mostly towards the current universe people on the 2k forums.. These people only wanting a current universe are getting on my nerves (mind you Liontamer i did say the 2k people, the people on this forum that want a current story aren't the problem cause i think at one point we could reach a compromise, but the folks on the 2k forums are completely self-centered and shallow)
