AgeofSandow Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I think it's more selfish for people on last gen consoles to want current gen to be held back just so they have the same features as them, don't you? When the ps3/360 have the power for more people in a match and better graphics, no. That's just keeping a feature off a group of consoles as incentive to buy current gen. the ps3 and 360 are horribly outdated, I doubt they can go much farther then they are. It's going to be exactly like when ps2 was holding back ps3. when they stop making games for past gen then we are going to see a massive increase in the general polish of the game as they don't have to downgrade it to the past gen. The PS3 isn't like a ps2. It can hold powerful, polished games. A wwe game looks like an early ps3 game. Surely, with years of the console, the developer knows how to improve the game without having to upgrade right away. compared to the new consoles, no it really can't. and if you look at old sdvr 2008 pics compared to wwe14 pics you'll see a major improvement. graphics is one of the least important things in a simulation game. Then look at other ps3 games with high quality(graphics, amount of players, AND gameplay). I agree graphics aren't too important though in the end, but still a PS3 or X360 game can hold Survivor Series matchups, a clusterf*ck Royal Rumble, triple tag team matches, new moves and whatever new features are being added. Once these systems have everything they can contain, then the current gens step in and add more things. 1 Quote
the King Lives Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Considering I'll be getting the game on PS4, absolutely not. damn that's selfish and why get the game on ps4 when there isn't mp3 support on the ps4/x1. Even if they were to "Fix" it like they keep saying, 2k14 still wouldn't get custom track support.. COUGH SVR07 COUGH I think it's more selfish for people on last gen consoles to want current gen to be held back just so they have the same features as them, don't you? EXACTLY! there's no reason to sit u there and talk about "oh well 360/ps3 will hold new gen back" That's preposterous at the most mainly cause 360/ps3 is no comparison to ps2 era... firstly the 360/ps3 has way more power than ps2 ever could have wished. Plus i still hold to my comment a year ago that next gen only happened just to make money. In this kind of economy you don't just throw out a new game system computer tv whatever especially when you know how the market is. I'm holding down 3 jobs and still couldn't afford a new system at this point but it's not even about that. In my opinion graphics isn't everything to me (Mind you i said to me) 1 Quote

They were the ones that removed 5000 moves, they were the ones that shoved nostalga over nostalga mode down our throats, they were the ones that ruined the series when they added in predator tech which imo ruined all the physics. They were the ones that patched the blur bypass... do you notice a trend here? In essence THQ didn't care about the game one way or another. Quote

AgeofSandow Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 The guys over at THQ seemed to be too lazy to tell the developers to actually do something. And they're gone now, so why not try to put more features in, and see if they work or not? Quote

And they're gone now, so why not try to put more features in, and see if they work or not? I'm all for new features on current gen and I'm not trying to give the rub that I'm not as I am delaying getting a next gen console as much as possible. It's just selfish to hold back the next gen console users if there could be a much, much better game being released ever year just because you want the same features as they do. Quote
Bob_Van_Dam Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 They can't add more things to WWE 2K for last gen because of the way they make the games. They make the games on 360 meaning they would have to downgrade in graphics due to polygon problems if they wanted to upgrade. If they made the games on the PS3 which would be able to hold more features and keep stability, the 360 version would need more than 1 disc to be used. Making the game on PS4(Which is they will most likely do, they did with NBA 2K14) the Xbox One would be stable while converting the game over. It's a complicated process and it's not as easy as "They can just add more stuff because of old systems, huuurrr duurrr, I fail to realize those games used to be on ONE system" Quote
mrblacksheep Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 With the collision detection it wouldnt make sense to have too many people in the ring at once. especially Rumble matches. 6 is good. 8 is pushing it. anything past that is just ludicrous. Tag matches it could work. Quote
Righteous Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 All I know is that Next Gen games should be as great as possible. Current Gen are just about as good as they are gonna get. When it comes to desiring the greatest game for the console you have it on - I could care less about being selfish. It's not being selfish to want the most for your money. Period. 1 Quote

And to Nate: I see your point. Next gen users shouldn't be forced to use a terrible game, but for a year or two longer, the rest can stay close to the next gen in quality. Wouldn't mind getting a system for 2k16. Edited June 24, 2014 by AgeofSandow Quote
Krrush2 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 i for my part hope they dont do somethin stupid like x1 gets for example WCW DLC and PS4 gets ECW DLC because i would feel ripped off then i own a ps3 and a ps4 and depending on how different the versions turn out to be, i might pick it up for ps3 for budget later on the road the ps4 version is a definite buy Quote
mrelectriccity Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 no because not everyone has money to buy new consoles and the online fees that come with them. what are you talking about i have a X1 & 360 they both use the same account no matter if you put it in on your 360 or your xbox 1 its gonna work on both consoles even at the same time if you happen to have them on at the same time in 2 diff rooms. so i dont know what your reffering to. and there wont be any exclusive characters or anything but the graphics maybe slightly different and im sure that the new gen versions will utilize some of their new capabilities that the old gens can't do. i rather get it for my X1 but i love using save editors and unfort. there aren't any available yet for any games on either console. but hopefully wit the new updates every month by the time the game comes out that they'll be closer to hacking the new consoles. esp since X1 now has external hdd cause that was a key component to using save editors. but i just may get em for both 360 & X1 since i know a guy who can get me any thing from Walmart for 50% off so i basically can get both games for the same price as 1 $60. that way i can use the save editor for the 360 version. only thing sucks that can't get the preorder dlc but majority of the time they'll available or purchase so u can still get them but just not for free. Playstation users have to pay on the next gen, and the costs of a new console aren't exactly cheap damn that sucks for Playstation users, and for me luckily came across a deal it was a replacement xbox1 sent from microsoft that i bought the person had bout 5 or 6 of em he was selling X1 by itself for $225 or X1 with Kinect for $300 but came with no wires or powercord. i went head and just got the X1 with Kinect for $300 then like i was saying bout the guy from Walmart got 2 remotes from him for $60 & game for $30 then payed $8 for adapter for old 360 power supply to fit X1 so really got X1 with Kinect with 2 remotes & game for $400 and plus got to pay for it a lil separately instead all at once Quote
waleed.619 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Fifa and pes games can have many players on screen at once , games like uncharted and killzone have insane graphics and physics , I can't see why ps3 can't handle more than 6 wrestlers at once and better graphics Quote
Lyriqz Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 I really don't care, as I will buy a next gen console soon and get it on there. I just hope they don't hold anything back just to make the last gen owners happy. Quote
