LordBarker Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 (edited) Hi all, Have modded the CDLC in-game no probs, however I cannot for the life of me get the strings to inject correctly. I use this guide: Step 6 – Injecting strings into the dlc 3 file - This final step is to fix the names of the new dlc characters you added, you can leave this out if you are not concerned about the names. - Open your dlc3 file in Le Fluffie and click the contents tab (my dlc file is called B66F56549929ABAE96EA716DD039B9C2FE86677C54). You need to replace two files here i.e. the “catalog_hd.arc” file in the “info” folder. You also need to replace the “string_dlc03.pac” file in the “pac” folder. Right click on each of the files to replace and click on the "Inject file" option. DO NOT use the replace file option. However, after I inject the files it seems ok. But whenever I try to reopen the injected/modded DLC3 file in Lefluffie it fails to show the content of the file and instead just displays 'root', also if I copy the files back to my 360 it says there is an issue with DLC. Every is fine up until injecting the Strings - I've also checked the 'SIGN for LIVE' box too. Interestingly my DLC 5 file works fine, it just seems to be a DLC 3 issue. Also, having gone through all of my files I cannot find string04.pac, I have 03 and 05, but no 4. Have a missed a DLC pack? Edited June 21, 2014 by LordBarker Quote
motishow Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 If you have instaled the Official Legends DLC (DLC5) you must inject the strings into this DLC and not into the official DLC3 Quote
LordBarker Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 I'm trying to use tekkens dlc string for CDLC 1 as I need the names for that? CDLC5 isn't a prob, it's the name strings for CDLC1. So I thought I needed to inject into dlc3 file for those? Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 The names for all CDLC are in the string file for CDLC5 just inject that into DLC5 and you are good to go. The string file always has to be injected in the newest official DLC. Quote
LordBarker Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Cheers for clearing that up Rooster I actually figured that might be the case and was going to give it a go when I was back home. Thanks for clarifying mate, you've been a great help as always much appreciated! Quote
LordBarker Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Oh also, I got the title update working perfectly with your guide, but then realised I needed to go over it with the CDLC arc file. I wondered I could just tag the title update info onto the end of the arc after all of the CDLC? I assume I just need to change the entry number accordingly? Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) the "add to arc" file for CDLC5 includes the title update info anyway. Edited June 22, 2014 by Red Rooster Quote
LordBarker Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 All the strings now work cheers. However the update now doesn't. Checked the def and arcs and everything all correct, xex patched. It worked fine before it just doesn't seem to read it now. Any ideas? Quote
Red Rooster Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Hmm, Im not sure what to suggest, it should work. Quote
