2k sports where never confident in 2k14 so I'm sure they didn't care about poor sales and glitches. It would have sold even less if they didn't have the warrior onboard tho. Focus seems to have always been geared towards this year, so I'm expecting a massive overhaul, and a lot of positive advertising to turn the failing market around.

I tend to agree with Aero because every game needs a hook and using legends as pre-order bonuses will increase sales.  As much as I still hope wrestling can rise again and have another boom period, current wrestling absolutely sucks!!  Which is why every year WWE games have to use some form of nostalgia in their game modes.  WWE knows their younger fans don't remember when wrestling was actually good, so they'll buy anything.  They know the older true fans of wrestling and real entertainment[not the crap they are doing now] will only buy these games if they use legends and re-visit the past.

It's all about sales, how much money there going to make by adding Sting as a Pre-Order bonus!

Which is great we finally get, hoping a new animated Scorpion Death Drop ( Reverse DDT) Scropion Deathlock ( Sharpshooter) - Stinger Splash ( Running Corner Splash).

They want older fans to buy the game who have lost interest in the current product and who would blame them for losing their interest in WWE. People who don't watch so that's why this is a great idea Warrior and Sting are awesome no one current wth the WWE or NXT could match against any of them .

In the past NXT wasn't needed to make stars, stars like Bret Hart, SCSA, HBK, The Rock, HHH, Warrior, Savage, Hogan etc all made it on their own with their own hard work.

Now a days people come from NXT, may be relevant for about 6 months, then become jobbers and then get their ass fired.

Nobody would pre-order for useless divas or guys like Rose or Fandango if they were pre-order bonuses.

Adam Rose is what Fandango was when he debuted he was relevant for about 5 -8 months and now he is pathetic . Adam Rose won't be the next Jericho, or Edge .

So what you are saying is that guys like Sami Zayn, Adam Rose, Solomon Crowe, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, (etc), and soon to be Devitt, KENTA, and Steen didn't bust their ass on the indies for 10+ years and you can't give them an ounce of respect. I'm pretty damn sure all of them have given more blood, sweat, and love to wrestling than most of the guys you listed. The Rock? One of the most overrated guys in the business? That sold out to go do these movies that some people don't give two shits about? Most of those guys are/ were attention whores. I'd only say say that Bret, Shawn, Savage, and Warrior could be labeled as true legends.

And then Adam Rose is horrible? Horrible gimmick, etc.... But yet you attitude era marks just was so happy to see a male pornstar get his his "dick" get cut off by a group of Japanese guys, a pimp that has whores with him 24/7, and even a total rip off of Goldberg with a half ass clown with the name Gillberg.

Well The Rock in the 90's was pretty cool, funny and had some good matches with Undertaker, Austin, HHH, and a few others but modern day he sucks.

 

Adam Rose is the comedy relief who actually is funny, I love the guy he makes me laugh. Hell even my mum finds him funny, and she only likes a few wrestlers in WWE. So he must be doing something right, sure the party gimmick won't last forever but it's good while it lasts.

 

And Attitude Era marks never really think about anyone apart from Rock, Austin, Foley, HHH, Undertaker, Kane, Rest of DX and a few others. Like they never think about the awful gimmicks which were around at the time.

Attitude era never started until 1997 , but I've been enjoying wrestling since 1990 so figure that one out before calling people attitude era marks. Attitude era just blending in slowly when WCW was kicking WWF ass at the Monday Night Wars.

 

Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Warrior, Perfect, etc ain't from the attitude era .

You can like it or hate it but the inclusion of legends is what makes people buy the games year after year and the added nostaolgia factor. Believe me I have tried playing with the current roster and I am entertained for what 10-15 minutes at a push, I start using legends and the nostalgia hits and I can play all night.

 

I can almost certainly guarantee that if 2K released 2 games one a legends based and one current based the legends based will outsell period.

 

As for Sting being a pre-order bonus thats smart marketing, Sting has never been in a WWE game and fans have been wanting him in for years, Sting as a bonus will put sales through the roof.

 

Again it takes a legend to make the game sell...what does that tell you

Man doing that the match gets downright fun LOL but yeah i'm with you playing with the current roster just gets boring.. no wonder people only play the game with the current roster for 2 weeks in universe and then call it quits lol
