I honestly dont care what era it is. I hate how 'Legends' are taking over the current wwe games. I mean 10-20 is enough, not to the point where half the current roster isn't in the game. You've had games like LOW that are full of legends. And no, you didn't 'strike a nerve' i responding to your rude attitude.

I wouldn't go as far as to choose Rose over Sting, Rose will probably be with the Current day DLC anyway.

@Phenominal yeah i like current stuff too and i don't need the game to be overshadowed by legends but on the same hand, i guess this is cause i am 33 years old, i connect more with the past since the current product mostly is unappealing to me.  That said, i wouldn't want a wcw mode, i can do that myself with universe mode (if they ever fixed it) but the characters coming out now aren't that interesting to me.. i don't like dallas, and could care less about adam rose lol. I just say wwe needs to make major changes for me to get interested again.

 I think the main reason i like the legends is because WWE Allstars didn't appeal to me, and Legends of Wrestlemania was such a horrible game lol

 

@RatedRLiontamer yeah asking for Rose instead of sting is just an insult.. i could see him being dlc or even on the roster since the cut off is going to be later than it has been in other games.

the story is on wrestlezone too.. and wrestlezon is a website i do trust in.  I've been using them for news since 1999 LOL

our buds at the 2k forums are denying all these sting reports saying they are false.

 

 

THBT, this is just like the news over his WWE Legends contract. I've learned a thing or two from these Pre-order DLC things. They NEVER put someone in or even float the name about unless it's someone they've signed or are courting to sign. 

 

I'm fairly confident they've already signed Sting. I mean, you don't put him in a game, make merch ideas for him to approve, work on nicknames and put him in the Warrior tribute stuff unless he's signed. All this "He hasn't signed yet but has verbally agreed" or "He hasn't signed yet but it's imminent" or "WWE isn't rushing the deal because they're confident they have him" is just BS. Just a cover so the biggest secret in wrestling today isn't let out. It's done out of the want for surprise, and to wait Undertaker out to see if he agrees to fight him, or if not, find someone else to pit Sting against. I'd hope it's Bray. 

 

Pretty sure this is a done deal, and will most likely be either Starcade '97, or '99-'00 Sting. Not sure if they could use his TNA variations, but I'm sure it's an option being bantered about. I think he had a clause in his TNA AND WCW contracts that he retains all his likeness variations so he could use them anywhere he went (Sticking point in an interview eh did about why he didn't go to WWE, among other reasons). I don't see his Wolfpack style as an option cause that ship sailed last game with nWo Wolfpack Hall and Nash. I don't see them repeating things like that again. 

 

Who knows. Might even be a Surfer Sting in-game, and the crow version as DLC. Kinda like Undertaker's various gimmicks in past games.

It's my understanding that, from the way it was worded in reports, that they've scanned the entire main roster, AND NXT for inclusion. Not whether they did that to have a database to draw from when it's time to come up with names, or if it was done for TOTAL inclusion of the whole roster. Heard that's also 1 of 3 reasons they moved the cut date. Apparently WWE has new merch coming out they want Superstars to start wearing and they want 2K (WOW!lol had to fix that. Originally typed THQ out of reflex.lol) to scan it for inclusion, and they have more NXT call ups that will be included aswell.

What is it with topics going way off topic lately?  If Sting is the pre-order bonus, shouldn't us fans be happy?  Damn, sometimes people bring out all the drama when it is quite pointless to do so.  If this is legit, I am happy.  Any real fan of pro wrestling knows who Sting is and should happy 2K is working to include him.  Each year a new pre-order hook is needed and Sting would be just unique enough to get the attention of casual fans who might otherwise not buy WWE 2K15.

So what you are saying is that guys like Sami Zayn, Adam Rose, Solomon Crowe, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, (etc), and soon to be Devitt, KENTA, and Steen didn't bust their ass on the indies for 10+ years and you can't give them an ounce of respect. I'm pretty damn sure all of them have given more blood, sweat, and love to wrestling than most of the guys you listed. The Rock? One of the most overrated guys in the business? That sold out to go do these movies that some people don't give two shits about? Most of those guys are/ were attention whores. I'd only say say that Bret, Shawn, Savage, and Warrior could be labeled as true legends.

And then Adam Rose is horrible? Horrible gimmick, etc.... But yet you attitude era marks just was so happy to see a male pornstar get his his "dick" get cut off by a group of Japanese guys, a pimp that has whores with him 24/7, and even a total rip off of Goldberg with a half ass clown with the name Gillberg.

This isn't the 90's anymore. So if you want that shit, go play Smackdown 2.

I don't even think you even read any posts before you posted that. I'm GLAD that Sting will be in the game, but that had nothing to do with your statement of the people coming out of NXT. Most of them are really good, such as Zayn and Breeze, but that is one of the most idiotic statements I have ever heard pertaining wrestling. If really want your blood and shit watch CZW or the Japanese wrestling. Want non PG wrestling, watch TNA or find some promotion that has what you want. Comedy, Chikara. Comedy and really nice, fluid wrestling watch PWG. Want just to have your movie stars, watch your Attitude Era stuff. Everybody has their own era, (Mine being Ruthless Aggression) so it makes no point in trying to convince somebody to want a roster full of people that they don't want. Of you don't like the roster, don't buy the damn game. There is your answer, and please, learn to not bring up things that have nothing to do with the topic.

Legends = bigger fan base. Argue all you want, but that's what sells. Cutting them = losing sales and that's suicide.

The bigger picture would be to have a mode for legends and a mode for current. Then letting you mix them in the likes of exhibition matches. I'm fairly sure that there's always plenty of extra space on the disc for this.

Fore, I've lost just about all interest in the current roster and want legends, lots of them!

well yeah but i partially think sales went bad because of the way PR went.  Plus the fact that when the game dropped, issues were reported with the game so you had alot of people not willing to make the same mistake.  Atleast that's how i saw it lol
