DrJoeyMagnum Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 As the title reads post your recommendations mine are: True Detective: amazing dark storytelling, the performances by Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey are so superb, especially McConaughey after years of avoiding his movies due to him being typecasted in romcoms this show opened my eyes to his acting brilliance. Fargo: As a fan of the movie I had some very low expectations but Fargo blew my mind how excellently dark and funny the writing is with great acting from Billy Bob Thronton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and newcomer Allison Tolman, Breaking Bad: what can be said about it? probably the best written show i've ever seen with phenomenal acting from Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul Quote
iamthedoctor Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Im going to recommend Doctor Who because its a fantastic show! Some of the older ones tell a good story back when not everything was about powerful music and high tech effects. TMNT & He-Man were two great cartoons. At the moment ive been watching Bewitched & I Dream of Jeannie on GOLD. Quote
Aero Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I like LG TV's I'd recommend them as they are a good quality but don't carry the same high price tag as Sony or Samsung where you're paying for the name!! LOLZ Quote

UndertakerWLF Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I don't watch alot of todays TV so my choices are somewhat dated. I would go for Red Dwarf (yes I'm a Dwarfer!) Only Fools and Horses One Foot In The Grave (That scene where he picks up the dog thinking it was a telephone never gets old) Knightmare Bottom Quote
fufu ÷ Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Desperate Housewives, my favourite show eeeeeeever. 1 Quote

supa! Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 One of my ALL TIME favourite shows - OZ (one of the original HBO gems). Although it ran from 1997 - 2003, trust me when I say that this shit still holds up. It's probably the realest prison show ever made, following the day to day lives of the inmates in a maximum security prison. As you can see from the post below, so many actors got their big break from killer performances in this show. Just beware though - you will see plenty of blood and cocks and violence and drugs (sometimes all at once if you're lucky!). Quote
principe Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I've heard of that show Supa my parents used to watch it Quote
