mrelectriccity Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 dont know for sure but it makes a lot of since that NXT will be theme since that was the big thing this year debuting it on the network. if so this could possibly change things up a bit, possibly a career mode. where u can create your wrestler. an i doubt this part but would be kinda cool like the UFC game start off in a wrestling school learning the tricks of the trade then start out in NXT to try and build your caw up and in between shows u can choose to go back to school or work out with certain superstars to learn new moves. and get to create 1 signature move. and then once u make it to the main roster get to create your entire moveset not only finishers but actual grapple and strikes. now that shit would be bad ass plus more realistic. but either way should have something different considering how NXT is for building up the new/next generation of superstars. and no other wrestling game has really had anything like that. what do u think the theme will be an it will be used. The 4th Doctor Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I hope its NXT we need a break from it being Legend themed like the last 2 years have been. Quote
Ballard Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 If they're really going to make career mode the main focus this year, I don't think the game really needs a theme at all. Just throw in a few of the top NXT guys, a really solid current roster, 20 or so legends, and a mixed bag of DLC. Everybody wins. I really hope My Career is what they're doing though. It could be awesome if done right. Quote
iamthedoctor Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I really dont know how they would do a NXT theme. The roster tends to change quite alot frequently which is a problem they are going to need to sort out. Quote
BEAST987 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) Pretty much wrestling has gone crap from what it used to be so it doesn't matter what theme they include into this year's game. The wrestling now looks so fake now all the things that was done in the past is all gone. Only thing that matter's is fix the graphics, bugs and move-sets and the online then think about themes. AgeofSandow Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 NXT cause I can finally have The Fall of Man! 1 Quote
King.ASAP Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I would like to have the NXT mode be the MAIN focus, and a Ruthless Aggression themed mode too. We could have Evolution, possibly Kurt Angle, Benoit, Half Masked Kane, Un-Americans, etc. Quote
the King Lives Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 ^no thank you.. no more nostalgiac modes 2 Quote

jitz Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I would like to see them focus on one legend for the career mode, and actually make it a play through of their career.Kinda like the Michael Jordan mode in NBA2K a few years back. Not Hulk Hogan, but someone like Stone Cold Steve Austin, or The Rock. Sting would be a great one, but I'd say his signature came too late in development. Quote

Miz_fit Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I just hope wwe 2k15 isn't a theme that goes back over history. People (such as myself) are gonna spend another £50 for fifa 15 which gives you little more then the post rattling when the ball hits it. I just hope 2k15 doesn't bring the same... 1 Quote

The Ritty Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 It's a real career mode where you start on NXT and make your way to the main roster... plus if 30 years mode is back in, I'm wondering if it will be WcW themed? Quote
best in the world Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I'm probably in the minority here, but I am totally against the whole idea of this year's theme being NXT related. NXT doesn't get much exposure outside the few talents that have been called up to the main roster and most fans don't even get the WWE Network. I have no doubt that NXT will have a big impact on WWE in the future, but using it as an exclusive mode in a WWE game doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather see Ruthless Aggression Era mode or a WCW related mode. Rising up through an NXT mode and onto the main roster has been done before, as that was pretty much the same concept using in the Gamecube WWE titles Day Of Reckoning & DOR 2. Plus it is too similar to the Jacob Cass story mode section in WWE '12. So some may consider RA or WCW Mode to be rehashing too much history but doing NXT is even worse! At least doing RA or WCW Modes would make for a vastly unique roster when everything is unlocked....... Quote

Ruthless Aggression era: He Who Shall Not Be Named, as well as other guys being in TNA, would make the mode very hard to do. WCW: Most people would not want a majority of the stupid characters WCW made over the years. I'll take a couple of the cruiserweights. Maybe could work if it was based on the good years of WCW. Still think NXT mode could expose new people to the program, which is what WWE needs. Quote
best in the world Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) @AgeofSandow: I agree with you about NXT needing exposure, but honestly who would want to play with those talents? Whether one likes RA era or WCW, they had real stars. People who would be cool to play with in-game. Plus, if Sting signs a legends deal, they already have Hogan, and Goldberg is in again they'd already have 3 of the biggest names from that company. And since WWE owns the WCW tape library and rights, it logically makes sense to do a Monday Night Wars approach to show what happened from their perspective. WWE '13 detailed the WWF side of the MNW and doing WCW's side makes sense to me. I've also seen speculation that 2K will again go with 30 Years of WrestleMania , although how they could pull that off again is beyond any logical sense. What matches would they choose? How do they cover 30 years of WMs again without doing the same material? Hopefully whatever theme they go with makes sense. I like NXT and all, but like I said doing an NXT Mode would be too close to what they already did in past games by having you create a star and then have them rise through the ranks. I never liked those types of modes and if they used that with NXT I'm assuming most fans wouldn't like that particular mode either...... Edited June 12, 2014 by best in the world Quote
Thedeadmanrising Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) I know this maybe off topic but I feel that NXT should be it's own company... most of your stars from that place always end up watered down and wasted when they go to WWE Raw and Smackdown. Look at: Curtis Axel, Kaval, Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Ryback, And the list goes on and on... Back on topic. I believe they maybe leaning towards a WCW type thing with the talks of Sting and Goldberg being in. That's just what I think. I would love it if they did Ruthless Aggression and have matches like Angle vs Michaels WM 21. Edited June 12, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote

A lot of people are nostalgiac, thus why they want older guys in. If you want them, play older games. NXT needs to be in the game. People come up from NXT, helping to keep the roster updated. Most of the talents from NXT would be very fun to play as, since they have unique looks, moves, and styles. Finally, they are technically part of WWE. Cutting them out is like cutting out other current guys. WWE treats them as part of the company so why shouldn't the game? Quote

best in the world Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 @AgeofSandow: A WCW themed mode makes perfect sense. Would that be nostalgic? Hell yes! That's kind of the point. WWE '13 had the WWF perspective of the Monday Night Wars. WCW is a trademark of WWE now so putting it into the game as a theme if done right could be pretty cool. The problem with using NXT for a mode is that it hasn't been around all that long so most casual fans aren't acquainted with that show or the talents used therein. To be honest, I see maybe 2 or 3 guys on NXT that have potential and the rest like Mojo Rawley are just taking up roster space with no real talent. If NXT had been around awhile and had a storied history for content, then I might could see using that mode. @RatedRLionTamer: I don't know that everyone would want to play with NXT talents. Especially those who don't get NXT via WWE Network. NXT is just a system within WWE to develop the same generic cookie cutter awfully named talents who might one day be called up to the main roster. I will admit some guys like Sami Zayn or Adrian Neville would be fun to play as, but who buys the WWE games to play as NXT talents? I know when I play these games and I play the first match, I wouldn't be looking to use an NXT character first and I'm sure most others wouldn't either..... Quote
