The 4th Doctor Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 after reading this thread i have to say some of the legends fans come off as wicked selfish. You guys have had the last two games catered to you legends fans each of the games had legends DLC on top of all the legends on disc. Its time to give the current fans a break and I hope NXT is apart of this. I DO like legends but i hate when Legends make everything Current take a back seat for people who can;t stop living in the past. Quote
Tamer™ Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 ^^^Pretty much that, it's time for something new. Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I have checked other wwe games forums and they too want NXT in 2k15 so you guys are not alone Quote
iamthedoctor Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) after reading this thread i have to say some of the legends fans come off as wicked selfish. To be fair if we had 70 current guys & 70 Legend guys I wouldnt be complaining! Its more the current era fans that come across as selfish as they are making silly assumptions expecting such and such to be in when they know full well there is a cut off date & just use it as a excuse. Its got nothing about living in the past. Its a cool thing to see in a game some of the past Legends appearing. WWE games arent a season they are just a simulation game and we know full well we wont get a proper sim based Legends game. If we are just going on personal preference, I'd rather see a WCW Mode which focuses on the WCW side of things during the Monday Night Wars. Or even Ruthless Aggression Mode. Both would be better in my view than NXT. NXT is okay but shouldn't be the focal point of a mode in WWE2K15. That'd be too similar to what they did in WWE '12 with Jacob Cass or what they did in the Gamecube Day Of Reckoning series with created stars rising through the ranks. They need to do something unique and NXT isn't really unique...... I too would love a WCW mode. Edited May 31, 2014 by iamthedoctor Quote
the King Lives Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 YAAAAAAAS i hope they include a diva career mode ffs ummm hell mo why not? It would be better if we actually had a choice of what gender we played as instead of forced to play as a superstar all the time. I never want to deal with another diva story mode career rtwm whatever ever again.. I still hated the fact I was forced to play that mickie james story line Quote
the King Lives Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 ^^^Pretty much that, it's time for something new. that doesn't mean you have to shit on the past. And last time we got something new, we ended up with a f'd up half assed done RTWM called WWE12.. last time we got a career mode we got a half-assed Career mode that forced us to have to fight pointless matches just to build up our caws stats.. I never want to go thru either of those 2. I don't mind a career mode, but the fact I don't watch NXT and hardly watch wwe now (mainly cause I don't have cable at the moment and can't use WWE Network - limited bandwidth) I just don't really know I have mixed feelings about it. Also I have stated several times (whether you choose to read my posts or not it's up to you) that I would much rather have a current roster, as long as the legends' entrances, moves, taunts, animations etc and retro arena parts are included in the game. THere's really no reason to remove this stuff. If they did that, I really wouldn't mind one way or another if we got a NXT Career or a WWE Career as long as the mode doesn't suck Quote
w00ody Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 If this so called 'career mode' actually has replay value and is similar to NBA and older WWE games and not RTWM then i can BOlieve in 2K....pun intended. Quote

ichiban Rooster Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 a NXT mode for both genders, would be nice Quote
SassySlothh Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 a NXT mode for both genders, would be nice i agree 100%, choose gender, then choose to either use a real NXT Star or create a custom one. 1 Quote

Blackbird 13 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 DLC the NXT talent because I don't want them in my game, or DLC us the 30 years of Wrestlemania Legends Pack, either way the current NXT fans will be happy or the legends/attitude era fans will be happy. Everyone makes CAWS of all the NXT talent anyway and the majority of them fail when the arrive on the main roster, apart from Paige, Cesaro, Wade, Wyatts, Shield . .... that's pretty much all the NXT folks, isn't it? Good. I'm tired of the bullshit we've gotten for the main modes the past couple of years. Thank you! I didn't even know who Virgil was until 2K14, nor did I even give a shit. I'm sick of these double models clusterfuck rosters we're getting because of guys like BEAST987 wanting to relive their precious past matches, go on to the WWE Network watch them then never come back, they've taken up 2 games with the attitude era, now I'm guessing they want The Golden Era? No, never ever, not getting my money this year if that's the case. Virgil wasn't a double model.. and if you didn't know who he was, that's your lack of wrestling knowledge on display, not anyone else's. There is NO way that additional characters can be a bad thing. Your anger is misplaced. You SHOULD be angry about missing main roster people. I agree that we should have gotten the Usos, Regal, Tatsu, Kidd, and RVD/Wyatts as DLC this year. I do agree with you that there should be some kind of career mode beyond the "Legends" career stuff. Playing classic matches is cool, but doesn't constitute a career mode. The WCW storyline in whatever game that was, and the game before it with the UK storyline.. those are more a "career mode". 1 Quote

I didn't say Virgil was a double model, I said I was sick of the double models. Virgil was a waste of space on the roster, I only downloaded him for his moves and that's just about it. And plus the only reason we didn't get guys like RVD, The Wyatts and The Usos was because of the legends taking up so much space. One question, did you actually use Big John Studd outside of the 30YOWM Mode? Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 I agree Big John Studd and Virgil were wastes. I have never played as Studd or Virgil. I also think Bruno Sammartino was a waste too Quote
iamthedoctor Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Virgil would have made more sense if he was given his Bodyguard attire! The only reason we didnt get RVD or The Wyatts is because they missed the cut off date. It had absolutely bugger all to do with Legends in the game. The Usos I will agree on should have been in the game and they were not included ive no idea why Vince didnt want them in the game unless they were off TV at the time. I do agree on double models being pointless. Just make alternate attires. I couldnt really see how THQ justified having 3 Triple H's in WWE 13 then they say each character is different. Sorry but ive followed wrestling for over 30+ years and there is no way in hell they were different. Ok sure they had the odd different taunt or a move but that shouldnt justify a complete new model. I know he was more skinnier back then but really if the player wants to change something in moveset thats up to them. The only wrestler I would ever justify as multiple models is Foley. 1 Quote
best in the world Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I wondered myself why certain DLC characters had multiple attires, namely Hall & Nash. Why not make them alternates? Kinda like how they gave The Rock his various music/tron variations for different times in his career. And certain people like Mr. Perfect were only in the game as NWO and not their WWF[E] alter egos[X-Pac for Syxx]. To me, it makes more sense to use alternate attires and leave more space for more DLC characters. As for me, I never downloaded Virgil as I never cared for any of his gimmicks whether with The Million Dollar Man or his Vincent character in the NWO. To me, my favorite Triple H era was his DX later stuff/early 2000s which they either leave out or don't get right. Triple H retro for the 2000 era looked off. Hair and beard were awful. I hope 2K can upload better hair and beard textures for the WWE Superstars and Legends than THQ did because some of them are just plain awful.... Quote

Zark Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 "With a new career mode allowing users to start off in NXT and advance up to WWE's main roster." This sounds great! Would be awesome. But I hope they have something else as well though not just this and universe... Quote

That way we could use either attire for nash/hall. Wouldn't want them to be alts of razor/diesel though cause I wouldn't want to be using nash and diesel show up in cutscenes lol Quote

Only Roll of the dice/Roll the Dice move I remember in wcw was Reno, who was supposed to be big vito's cousin or brother (he was in th Natural born thrillers) Quote
