Locking Arenas

This is probably going to be way simpler than I'm imagining it to be, but I was wondering how I would go about locking some of the arenas? Specifically the first ten WrestleManias. I know it'll involve the save file and that there are programs that unlock all of the unlockables, but I was wondering what I would need to do to specifically lock only those first ten.

For some reason, when putting a match together in Exhibition, when it gets to the point right before you load into the match and it picks the arena, if it gives me any of the first ten WrestleManias, it'll crash the game. I've tried nearly everything I can think of as to why it happens and haven't been able to solve it. It's really not that big of a deal as they're to no use for me anyway, but it's dreading the game crashing everytime I want to do a match through Exhibition that's killing me. So if there's anyone who knows what exactly I would need to do here to make this happen, I would greatly appreciate any help on the matter.

Why would you want to lock them?

He explains in the second paragraph!

The first 10 arenas all have the old school filter effect, maybe the crash is caused by that.

Try swapping your BbEtc.pac with this one :

That was the first thing I thought of--as I did fuck around with the filters--but I replaced it with the original and it still happened. Still, I'll try things out with that version next chance I get and let you know if I have any luck. Thanks, man!

The only other thing I can think of is that it might be something to do with your save file - seems that 2K14 is the easiest game in the series to irreversibly corrupt your save!

To actually answer your question though (I was distracted by iamthedoctor's post), I'm sure at least two of the three save editors I've used (Hacker-T, PureRafex, KG) offered the functionality to lock/unlock categories of stuff, such as Wrestlers, belts, arenas.

Just be warned that once you use one of these three XPacker will for some reason corrupt your save everytime you try to use it afterwards

Just gave it a shot with that bgetc.pac, Rooster, and it's still doing the exact same thing. Thanks, though.

To eliminate any other possibilities, they're all the original arena files with their original arc entries--so it's nothing like that that's causing it. I even tried replacing them with another arena that I know is working in the game and it would still lock up.

Is that why that was happened? I used one of those to mess around with a match type a bit ago and then when I was trying something with X-Packer just recently, it kept corrupting it and I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Well, that sucks, but thanks for explaining what was going on there.

But, yeah. I thought so too with those programs, but I was looking around and I don't believe there are any that allow you to lock/unlock specific arenas. I'm not sure I would want to go locking all of them just because of those first ten. Though, I suppose it may be an--if not, for now, the only--option.

Looks like it to me anyway - I assume it's something to do with Checksums

As for your arena problem, I guess you'll have to either start with a fresh game and save or lock all of the Wrestlemania arenas

Ive used Hacker T's program to change titles in Universe and am still able to edit the save with XPacker so it must be one of the other 2 programs.
