AgeofSandow Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 By all means, enlighten me. And don't say deleting the cache or some other blatant BS, I have done that many times and it still does not affect the default CAW glitch. It just seems like to me that people are always claiming that there's some magical fix when in reality, it was just a case of 2K rushing the product with no real fix to be found..... From what I hear, they're being forced to release stuff earlier. Quote
best in the world Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Since I cannot quote, I'll simply respond to you AgeofSandow: If they are being "forced" to release stuff earlier, that is a bad business decision. Even though some of the older THQ games were flawed and had issues of their own, they always had quality assurance before they released their products. It is a greed issue because WWE would rather churn out yearly titles in order to keep making money rather than take extra time to check the bugs and fix them before release. Hence, the reason we get final products that feel incomplete..... Quote

best in the world Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Yeah, and I have been pointing that out for awhile now as it relates to release dates on the WWE game franchise. They should take the time to produce a quality title that works well over yearly titles for greed's sake. Of course this is Vince McMahon and WWE we are talking about! They have stated on numerous occasions that they don't care what fans want and each time they are on-air or release products like video games, it shows. If they prided themselves on quality over quantity and didn't rush things, maybe things like video games and the WWE Network would work better with no glitches. I'd be shocked if that ever happens because there will never be a day where WWE cares more about us than money.... Quote

It's always about making a profit.WWE or any other company know people will bitch about their products but will end up buying them immediately or eventually. The consumers make or breake a product or business. So we can sit here and blame the developeres and wwe all we want. But as soon as we see the 2k15 trailer all are words are invalid and irrelevant. Not many people can say I wont buy this and mean it. WWE games are like Apple products. Quote

Doing this year after year leads to less sales, because people don't want half-done products all the time. Even a large series like Call of Duty has begun to experience this effect; more people are fed up with it and do not want to buy it. Now, WWE games aren't near the sales level of that franchise, so they cannot milk money by continuing this cycle. An improvement in quality can bring back respect, and also can lure in other gamers... Adapt or die. Quote

If you keep rewarding people for doing something wrong, they will keep doing so. So both sides are wrong. Wrong for nuying and wrong for putting out incomplete content passed off as done. People are used to buying and playing it so they will do so no matter how many complaints. Quote

But people will stop buying games if they fail to change much, year after year, since people will not want the same experience. Other game series have been forced to change because of gamers. Quote

best in the world Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 @mrblacksheep: Thanks for telling me what I clearly already know. WWE has a history of not listening to its fanbase or doing what is right for the fans and they only care about the money. WWE games and the WWE Network are prime examples of that. The WWE game franchise has been mediocre at best because what should be epic and flawless games are less than they could be because of glitches/bugs. If they took the time to get rid of the issues, their games are damn near perfect. However, there are also issues with graphics needing to be updated since they are on next gen consoles and the gameplay could stand revamping so that the physics make sense and don't look weird. Commentary is a big problem and hasn't been done properly in a game yet. Still with all of those problems, I am still a fan of the WWE gaming franchise because it has potential to be great. Unfortunately, what we will get is something similar to the WWE Network: a rushed product that neither functions correctly most of the time nor does it feel completed. If WWE would take the time and effort to do their products right, maybe people would have nothing to complain about...... Quote
