Try putting some grey tiger designs over Tonga's face paint with varying opacity so it doesn't look so flat. Maybe a few fleshy toned ones as well. It'll help it look a lot more natural.

I already did that, How much opacity do You think I should set?

Probably around 50%, but that depends on how light or dark the grey is. It just needs to look a little bit clearer, but it's a fine line. Try and add a few designs around places where his paint would crack in real life. For example under his eyes, some areas of the forehead where it would crease, and the lines around his mouth. Just make it look a little more worn out.
