fufu ÷ Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Making fun of kidnapped people is funny yeah. The news seriously makes it look like the middle east is this horrible place where they kill you if you aren't Muslim and if a girl shows her wrists she is showing too much skin. That is what the media makes it look like. I know it isn't like that because I have the PM with you and Miztah and such but the media makes it look terrible. Dude half of the females in my school already had sex. Damascus isn't that bad, you see females with hijab but at the same time you see open-minded people, and the ones with hijab date men too. SMH Slags everwhere, I blame fufu! How can you say such things!? Quote

That's a relief to hear. I've been to Istanbul and there were plenty-a sluts there. I've always been curious of how the females would be in Libya, Yemen, Syria, among other countries. It all depends if you are in a central city locale. They are more inclined to follow Western fashion. But, they'd be more open-minded to be down for anything if you sauce just right 'cause they are tied down otherwise by their parents. Quote

Righteous Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Riiiiiight. I think I'm a little past the Hipster age requirement. At least the Hipsters dress nice. I'll give them that. Better than what I see these young kids wearing now a days. Well, over here at least. Not sure about the rest of the world. Edited October 26, 2014 by Righteous Quote

Sunny Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Allow me to interject on this back and forth for just a moment. Righteous, I think he's got a strong case here bra. Based on how you came off in your last two posts, it's hipster/counter-culture dialect in its truest form. Either you've been drinking some Java juice or somebody's been lacing your coffee at work, but reread these:"We been wearing shoes like this before the Hipsters were even born.""Better than what I see these young kids wearing now adays."You even went on to defend their distinct fashion sensibilities. It's like how this colleague of mine told me on July 22nd how he's been rolling face before it picked up in mainstream. Whatever was "in" he stopped doing because it was "out" to him at that moment. As in, "I did *insert douchey activity here* before it was cool/before they were born/better than how they're doing now."Regardless of age, it is a subculture which vehemently prides itself onto declaring their phrases with the following: "I did _________ before it was cool or I liked ___________ before it was cool."As much as it is in their idiosyncratic styling, "hipsterism" should not be intertwined with the state of mind. Relaying their aesthetic tastes aside, they shun societal conventions which parlays to mainstream advertisement and media. Now as far as JMR goes, he is projecting feelings of insecurity and resentment because he belongs in a group that is no longer the cultural ruling class. Plenty of anti-hipster sentiments are from a demographic which fit the bill of a culturally clueless suburban frat boy who feels that the more sensitive, intelligent, and culturally aware hipster ideal threatens his insecure sense of masculinity. This sentiment is carried from people who simply can't keep up with social change and are envious of those who can. Quote
