LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Hi all, Just used Kim's ace guide to mod Demolition into the RAM successfully. However I thought I'd add an attire to Smash from Rooster's mods. I go through like I would with adding attires to DLC, and since Smash is 402.pach, I used Brodus Clay's pac and list Smash's attires as follows: 40202 40204 40212 40414 However, it updates them all except 40212 saying 'PACH file 40212 was not found in the arc'. This seems kind of odd considering it finds the following entry. Any suggestions? Thanks Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Can you post a screen shot of the hex code? Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Sure - sorry, did you want a shot of the code from the arc file? Oddly Ax's (who is at 401) works fine, seems strange it's missing one entry for Smash. Edited May 9, 2014 by LordBarker Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Yes please mate, it will help in seeing what the issue is Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Sorry was just chekcing all of Ax's work in-game and they do indeed. Sorry again, world's stupidest question how do I find the entry in the arc? Smash is 402 which converts to 0192, but there's a few of those entries. Quote
kim666 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 this is a common error btw you can use smash's pac for all his attires, you don't need to use Brodus Clay's pac. You only need to rename Brodus Clay's misc pac entry to smash's (9201). Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 9201, not 402? Do you mean in Xpacker, or rename it in the in the misc pac with a hexeditor? Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 So how exactly do I find the entries in the Arc I need to correct? Quote
kim666 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) 9201, not 402? Do you mean in Xpacker, or rename it in the in the misc pac with a hexeditor? Yes 9201 (in Big Endian and 0192 in Little Endian) I think you need to rename it with a hexeditor. Maybe Xpacker can this too. So how exactly do I find the entries in the Arc I need to correct? You open the .arc file with a hexeditor and search for the pach file name (00040202) Edited May 9, 2014 by kim666 Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) You open the .arc file with a hexeditor and search for the pach file name (00040202) That's what I thought, it doesn't find anything oddly I've been searching for the hex value. Should I be searching for the text string? Edited May 9, 2014 by LordBarker Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Thank you, in that case it's here: http://imgur.com/X09qlHZ Quote
kim666 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Ok, on the pic is the patch file from the 402.pac file. But your error was on Brodus Clay's pac file. Search for 40414. Or simply insert all the patch files into the 402.pac file. Then update the .arc file with Brodus Clay's original pac file (to remove the 40414 entry) and then update the .arc file with the 402.pac file that contains all attires. Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 I tried it with just smashs pac and had the same issue. I'll give it another go when I'm back home and see what happens Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Still having the same prob 'PACH file 40212 was not found in the arc'. Quote
kim666 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 You can also skip the 40212 pach, simply inject a dummy pach there and name it 40212. Then in the misc pac disable this attire (2A2A2A2A). rename the real 40212 pach file to 40222 and ofcourse 40214 to 40224. Quote
LordBarker Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Ah that sounds like it might work, I'll try it over the weeknd and report back Thanks! How do I 'disable' an attire? Edited May 9, 2014 by LordBarker Quote
kim666 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 change all the FFFFFFFF's to 2A2A2A2A in the misc pac file this will disable the attire Quote
