Fozy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I actually liked a few songs off of Minutes to Midnight. Bleed it Out Given Up Hands Held High I can't remember the album that much, to be honest. Quote
The Don Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Just going back to Linkin Park, I like their newer stuff way more than their old stuff. I've been a fan since Hybrid Theory, and hated the change when Minutes to Midnight came out along with all the other pitchfork wielders. Then A Thousand Suns came out and I think it's one of the greatest albums ever made. Minutes to Midnight is just a bad album, the rest of the new shit is gold in my books. Minutes to Midnight killed them for me, Bleed It Out was the only song off of it I liked. I've heard A Thousand Suns was good and have been meaning to check it out but I haven't gotten around to getting new music lately and forget about it when I do. Quote
jitz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Oh and I forgot to mention Holy Grail. http://youtu.be/HEMLthMBDF4 Quote
twiggadoodledoo Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Shit, those vocals remind me of Avenged Sevenfold ! I've not listened to A7F for a while but that sounds so similar! Quote
☠King Orclord☠ Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Does somebody listen to Godsmack besides me? Quote

jitz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Some questions for y'all! Favourite Singer? Favourite Guitarist? Favourite Bass Player? Favourite Drummer? Singer - Brandon Boyd (Incubus) Guitarist - Slash is the obvious choice. Kirk Hammett came to mind too. Bass - A rare breed so they all deserve to be named...Lemmy (Motorhead), Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Les Claypool (Primus), and as a smoky Joe Principe (Rise Against) best punk bassist in decades. Drummer - Joey Jordison (ex-Slipknot, no one now?) Quote

jitz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Ah yeah, I have, didn't like their brand of generic metal that sounds like it was made 15 years ago. Quote
NWOldskool Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Some questions for y'all! Favourite Singer? Jeff Buckley, Joe Cocker or Robert Plant Favourite Guitarist? Jimmy Page Favourite Bass Player? Geddy Lee Favourite Drummer? John Bonham Quote
The Don Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Lists like these always maybe me jump between old and new but here goes. Favourite Singer? Axl Rose or Corey Taylor. They both have range for days and talent for years. Favourite Guitarist? Slash, but he narrowly edges out DJ Ashba. Favourite Bass Player? Nikki Sixx. I have to find a way to plug him into any list of favorites Favourite Drummer? Tommy Lee. He might not be the most technical but he's damn good, still at it and entertaining as fuck to watch. How many others have taken their drums upside down over the crowd or had their kit attached to a loopdyloop for their solo? Quote
Fozy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Placebo have been my favourite band over the past few years. Meds is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Quote
Pac. Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Good one, Oldsie. Stevie Ray Vaughan's cover is just as good tho. Does anyone else listen to Post-Hardcore? Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, etc Quote
fufu ÷ Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I generally think post hardcore is poser garbage, but I make a few exceptions - mainly when Craig Owens is involved. Quote

Yeah, DRUGS and I&G are both pretty awesome, and Cinematic Sunrise and his solo stuff too. I just never got into Chiodos for some reason. That also reminds me of that Craig Owens sig I made for you like 4 years ago or something like that Quote
Pac. Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Sheeeeeeet, It's been 4 years? Fuck, Time flies, bro. Quote
