The Don Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Uhm, no? I'm a fan since 2005... Ow, my head. You can't! ...No. You're done. Just stop, my poor brain can't take this. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to listen to Hybrid Theory and feel old because I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT SO I CLEARLY DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT OR KNOW HOW THEIR "MAINSTREAM" SUCCESS WENT! MetalDaetlaev™ Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) You were a Linkin Park fan when you were 5 years old? Idk if you could call it "fan" but I already listened to them at that age. But now... please switch the topic. Edited April 30, 2014 by MetalDaetlaev Quote
twiggadoodledoo Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Moving on.... Do you think that a passion for metal music in general is a bad thing? Like, all these rapper wanna be's are influenced by rap music and (stereotypicaly) go out, hang in gangs and shoot eachother up. I mean, I personally took music on in a hard time of my life but because it was metal I listened to, I didn't feel the need to do what I aforementioned. I just buried my head in ny headphones and used the music to blur what was really going on, and that drove a deep passion inside me to really change who I was, no other than a positive way. Is this just my passion that has this type of story or do other metalheads see my side? Quote
Fozy Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Most metal heads I know are some of the kindest of people. I don't think you should really ever take music association, or any association by that matter as face value. You're an exception though, you big asshole. Edited April 30, 2014 by Fozy Quote

fufu ÷ Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Now to take this back in a nice direction, here's some of the only metal I really listen to with any regularity anymore. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Not without reading the lyrics. I get the gist of what they sing though. Quote
jitz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Just going back to Linkin Park, I like their newer stuff way more than their old stuff. I've been a fan since Hybrid Theory, and hated the change when Minutes to Midnight came out along with all the other pitchfork wielders. Then A Thousand Suns came out and I think it's one of the greatest albums ever made. Minutes to Midnight is just a bad album, the rest of the new shit is gold in my books. Quote
