BrotchMrToast Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 lol The guy is happy cuz he got 1 like lol I can totally relate to that. I like his genuineness, and also the fact that he doesn't demand much. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) At first I thought it was genuine, since some people are starved of praise and maybe he was one of them, but the Wrecking Ball part kind of has me thinking this kid wanted to be viral and make money from this vid from the get go. Even on a standard YouTube monetisation he'd have made a lot with the numbers he has. Edited April 20, 2014 by fufu ♡ Quote

When you were a kid, didn't you aswell wanted to be a superstar like your favourite actors and actresses or singers etc? Maybe people like Pewdiepie are his idols and he wants to be just like them. I don't see how that would be bad. That also doesn't mean that his happiness isn't genuine. It sounds pretty stupid, but he's like what? 9, 10 years old? I'm sure it is an amazing feeling for him to know that someone on this planet enjoys his work and gives him a like. Other than that, I just want to think that it was genuine. There are so many bad persons on this planet and SO many assholes on YouTube, that it really kind of gave me a heartwarming feeling to see this kid be so happy and thankful about something that doesn't mean much. But, idk, maybe I'm just a little weird, lol. Edited April 20, 2014 by BrotchMrToast™ Quote

Going viral is a flash in the pan, and he wont last as soon as the next one shows up and takes the attention. People don't pick up on this kind of thing because it's nice to see. They pick up on it because it's easy to laugh at. He's essentially just made himself into a living joke. I wouldn't want to go viral with something like that - because even after the initial fame and influx of potential earnings has gone, you'll still be forever remembered as a joke. Quote

And I'm not saying that I completely understand why he's doing what he's doing and that I'm all for it. But I just like to see someone with a goal going after it and being so anticipated about it. Other than that, he's a kid. YouTube is a new thing for him and it's super cool and interesting, but as soon as he finds something else that catches his attention, he himself will forget about his YouTube channel. But for the time being, I find it pretty inspiring. Quote

twiggadoodledoo Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I say fair play to the little guy, he's got over 102,000 subscribers lol. And specifically on that video which was only uploaded 2 months ago, he has over a million views. I don't think he's gonna be forgetting his YouTube channel any time soon! Quote
fufu ÷ Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 If he can shake the stigma that will now come with everything he does and turn it into an actual channel with quality content, then more power to him. Quote
