See, this is why I hate talking about this subject. When somebody like me says that they hate gays,homo, etc, then it starts a fight. I'm not that type of person that will make fun of a gay person. If somebody is like that, they can deal with it. I've had some personal things I wouldn't tell many people. Here they are.

1.I have had a gay guy flirt with me. He touched my butt and I hit him in the balls and ran to my mom. I was about 7. I have never told anyone that.

2.A friend of mine has been stalked by a gay man.

3.I have a teacher that is a lesbian and she constantly talks about her girlfriend. They hold hands during meetings, kiss each other randomly in front of students.

4.When I was in 5th grade, there was an openly gay man that dressed like a woman who taught kids that were about 5-6 years old. What happened to him? He got transferred to a new school because a little kid reported he had touched his (I think you can guess) and told his parents, who reported it.

All that stuff was true, so don't go around accusing me of lying. As I said, judge me if you want, but I am sticking to my opinion and I'm not changing it.

What pissed me off most at my school is when a guy came out as gay, all of his friends were guys. After he came out, all of them left him and refused to go near him because 'he might try it on with me'

That annoyed the fuck out of me because:

1. Just because he's gay, it doesnt mean he hasnt got standards.

2. Straight females hang around with guys yet they're okay with it, even if they dont like eachother

3. He has attempted suicide 3 times

4. He hangs around with girls now, which you can imagine, causes even more name-calling.

I dont get it, people should respect others decisions. If they dont want to get married to someone the same gender as them, Fine! They dont have to! Its not like they are being forced to, you dont hear gay people complaining about straight marriage!

Yes, that is wrong and sadly there are people who will abandon someone for those reasons. Now lets turn that around a bit... What if his friends were cool with in and greeted him by saying "Hey Fag" or jokingly say "Well that's cause you like to pound ass.".If the gay kid okay with it and knows it's a joke but a teacher or parent hears and raises hell about it, is it fair that the kid be punished for using the for "Fag" as a term of endearment?

Also, as Don said, if there is a Gay Rights parade, it is okay but if there is a Straight parade, the straight people are considered evil. Everybody has their own opinion. Some people think there is no God, others think there are multiple. Some people believe in afterlife, others don't. Some people believe 9/11 was a government conspiracy while others think it was 100% real. Hell, even the moon landing. I'll end this post saying, you have one life, just don't mess it up.

I'm all for equal rights. Our government in Australia is against it and I recently had a cousin who flew overseas just to get legally married to his husband. I don't like how people are getting treated differently for sharing a different sexual opinion to somebody else. It seems incredibly unfair and the public image of homosexuality needs to change very soon. If you look at a gay couple you shouldn't think anything but what you would think when looking at a man and woman. If a man really loves a man what's wrong with them spending the rest of there life with that man, exactly the same as a man loving a woman.

I'm sure your government disagrees being you live in Australia, just look up what happened to the Aboriginal people of Australia. 

 

It's all about compromise and walking in other people shoes.  Every thing comes down to money and personal gain and or agenda. I am sure your government will get on the bandwagon soon enough, once they realize they can start to capitalize off same sex marriages,divorce, and so forth. Then there will be a bigger problem on your hand because then propaganda starts to take place instead of letting things flow naturally.

See, I can accept you not likeing gay people, because you have your reasons. I'm pretty sure I know what happened to them, I HAVE grown up in this country after all. However that is very much in the past and pretty much everywhere else is legalizing gay marriage, and it should be allowed down here regardless of what happened all those years ago.
