Titavius Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) Basically, I'm working on a mod at the moment that requires the removal of one of the YOBJ files. I know the object isn't attached to the the model itself, because I can load the model without it in 3DS. What I was wondering was, is it possible to inject a blank YOBJ file with nothing in it in the place of the object I want to remove? Or will I need to remove/change it manually with X-Rey? UndertakerWLF Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 You could possibly hide it, whats the object? Quote
Titavius Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) it's Retro Big Show's chain (WM16).. it's a YOBJ file of it's own. would I need to hide it with X-Rey? Edit: it's ok... turns out the chain is attached to the hair that's being removed anyway, so it wont matter i guess? Edited March 23, 2014 by Titan83 Quote
jcsix Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 You could make the chain part "transparent" on the texture/normal. Quote
Mathayus Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 If the chain is in the hair yobj probably you can make it trasnparent, if it´s in the model, probably you can´t. Quote
Titavius Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Made it transparent.. Thank you, guys Quote
IamCrazyPT Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Did you imported paul wight hair from wwe 13? Quote
Titavius Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) @IamCrazy.. yeah it's just a pony tail, I thought it was gonna be an entire hair model, but the main hair texture itself just sits around the shape of the head So I guess my next question is, would it be possible to make a beard transparent? The beard in this case is attached to the hair model.. this is Chris Jericho with The Giants hair.. works perfectly, only problem is the hair comes with a 3D beard (removed in the picture) which is useless because it doesn't line up with Jericho's face.. OverTheEdge Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Of course you can, dude. It's just like making the section for the actual hair on the alpha texture all black. The same thing works for any 3D facial hair parts as well as eyelashes and some other various parts for people. Quote
Mathayus Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 The easiest way is to open the model in 3ds and move the facial hair objects into the head. Quote
tekken57 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 If the object is in an object which supports transparency i.e hair objects then you can make it transparent in the alpha channel of the texture. If not, then you will need to scale the object down and hide it inside the model using 3dsmax. Then import the object using x-rey. Quote
