twiggadoodledoo Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 So I know people always speak about what they hope to see in 2k15 and bitch about 2k14 currently, but I put on WWE '13 last night for a bit to reenact the HBK vs Undertaker match at Badd Blood (with my own outcome) and I really felt like it played better. The gameplay wasn't AS smooth and some animations did suck... BUT the crowd seemed a lot more responsive to what was happening in the ring, and I just didn't get that with 2k14, does anyone know what I mean ? Also little things like the ref in the 1997 arenas shirt had the old "block" WWE logo instead of the scratch one, not sure if it's the same on 2k but I just felt the game was more polished. It may be me being biased to the attitude era, but I thought it was a better game overall. Plus the create an arena was just beautiful, so much freedom! What are YOUR views and thoughts ? Or should I just shut up at 8:30am on a Sunday ! Quote
Dead-Account Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 13's crowd was better but to me that was really it as I never played with CAA so I'm going to say 2K14 for me. Quote
Tamer™ Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 2K14 Simply for gameplay , roster and new modes. Quote
El Guapo Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I always found that when I played my mates on '13 they became Reversal-fests. Definitely prefer 2K14, just wish they'd left the Royal Rumbles alone... Quote
iamthedoctor Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 WWE 13 was better because you could mod in trons. 1 Quote

Man I'm stuffed in this world of games that just get worse after time, look at Call of Duty for instance ! Well I had to until WWE games were only on the Wii,360,and Ps3. Thats the only reason I got a Xbox was to get 12(then 13 and 2k14). I would have to say Smackdown vs Raw 2007 was the last great game. I enjoy going in the crowd and those directional grapples. Those were the days even with sucky graphics. Quote
Tamer™ Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 I always go back and play SVR08 , simply because of how much I enjoyed 24/7 mode and Manager Mode. Quote

Sometimes it's not always about graphics tho, you could have all the best graphics in the world but shit gameplay or amazing gameplay with shit graphics.. Dev's don't seem to be able to get it right no more ! Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 2k14 is much better than wwe 13. 2 counts better AI best legends roster in any game since i am a huge 80's wwf fan. Also best part was wwe2k14 wasn;t a kiss ass to the attitude era or any era to be honest . Quote
#HEELGlory Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 WWE 13 > WWE 2K14 for Attitude Era and crowd. WWE 2K14 > WWE 13 for SS heads, CCA, WM, roster(save for the 80's guys *shrug*) mat sounds and themes. Also, AE > GE Quote
VinceRusso Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Neither. I'm a Ps2 SDvsRaw'07 kind of guy. im a sdvsraw06 guy but between those two i would choose 2k14 Quote
mrnewyorker007 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 13...i had a truck load of trons..the the ae was awesome..love to play with the n.a.o and apa 1 Quote
mrelectriccity Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 2k14 pretty much the same etcept a few differences only thing i hate about 2k14 is the royal rumble esp the view. has everything 13 had plus a lil more like superstar heads. hope they take out a bunch of moves cause a bunch of them are useless like theres a bunch of the same move with very slight differences that doesn't really matter like scoop slam suplex chokeslams few are more noticeable different but for the most part are the exact same Quote

Laughable lol I agree, I wish there weren't limitations on who can be in a WWE game, and who can't. I would love to reannact full PPVs from the Attitude Era. Still though, a lot of you think 14 is better. Must just be me then ! Quote
best in the world Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 As far as glitches go, WWE '13 had less so that made it better to me. WWE2K14 is full of freezing and glitch issues and even though WWE '13 had some too, it wasn't nearly as many. WWE2K14 has a much better roster and more creation slots both for CAS and CAA. I also liked 30 Years of WM slightly better than Attitude era mode, although I loved it too just for the nostalgia. Gameplay seems about the same in both games aside from it being slightly more fluid in 2k14. Overall, I'd say I enjoyed WWE '13 more just for gameplay and just fun. 2K14 had a great amount to replay with 30 Years of Mania and the streak mode for Taker. Both games have their obvious strengths and flaws but I enjoyed both games each year and think either is worth playing if you are a diehard WWE/wrestling fan. Quote
RoKaDiTz Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I honestly think '13 was better. And I'm not a fan of the AE. If '13 had 100 CAW slots i would have been a lot more happier, lol. 1 Quote

There shouldn't be a war between the two. Although I hope 2k15 will bring the best of both and plus more. Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I enjoyed 13 due to the Attitude era theme, however 2K14 pulls me as I really enjoyed the Golden era roster...now If only 2k can bring the two of those eras together in one game.... But for the most part I would say WWE13 is my game of choice. Quote
