PT Injection Not Working?

Recommended Posts

It works for me now. Don't think I was doing anything different to yesterday.

The thing is that I am using a fresh PT file. Even deleted the PT file on my HDD and made a new one in-game and it still didn't work.

Does the fresh file show up in the editor when you load it?

Yes. No problems occur until I try to load my game and get a message saying my PT file is damaged.

Have you tried reinstalling the editor? Might be worth trying. What are you using to resign and rehash? I know the editor says it does it, but I always throw it through Le Fluffie just to be on the safe side,

I already tried reinstalling. I've used just the editor, as well as the editor and Horizon to resign

I know what you have been doing has worked for you before, but just give Le Fluffie a go. If what you're doing isn't working, it can't hurt to try something else, right?

Tried. Still no luck with it.

One thing I noticed: The file picture post-fix no longer has KG on it. Was that something that happened post-Crack? Because I swear it was there before.

I've only had the cracked version and mine have never had KG on them.

Tried injecting some old logos that successfully injected before and it worked. This would lead me to believe that the problem is in the logos i'm trying to inject. Anyone have any idea what to do in this situation? They all import in the injector fine and I have no problems until I try to load the file in-game.

What are you using to create the logos? I would check the image sizes and the DDS settings.

I've always used Gimp to make the images and saved in png format, then used Paint.NET to save as dds.

Have you loaded them into a fresh PT file? Probably stating the obvious but sometimes these things get overlooked.

Yes. Every time I tried with these logos it was on a new PT file filled with 20 blank slots. The logos I injected earlier were on 4 slots on a PT file that had some logos on it in other slots.

If it works with older files then I'd say it's the images that are the problem.

Just deleted all my dds files and resaved 5 logos just to test. Worked fine. Guess it was one of the logos that was causing a problem.

Weird... But glad you got it sorted out. Maybe try adding the images one at a time to try to identify the culprit?

Not really necessary. The only logo that I didn't inject was an earlier version of a logo I already injected successfully. If I was to guess, I'd say I accidentally closed one of the pictures before the box showed up to choose my .dds settings. It's something I could see myself doing haha.
