Caveman Gamer Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I get asked every year to write my yearly sliders, attributes and match settings article for the WWE game. Last year I didn't do one because of the two count glitch. Now that we have the patch (the only one I think we are getting) and all the dlc, I decided it was time to release it. Because I feel like this year you need to adjust ratings, sliders and match settings to get the most out of the game, I am breaking the article into two parts. The first part is available now, the second part will be released during Elimination Chamber. http://www.examiner.com/article/wwe-2k14-ultimate-sliders-attributes-and-match-settings Let me know what you think. Caveman Gamer Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Just wanted to let anyone that is interested that part 2 is now live. I feel like combining the info in these two articles make this game feel like a totally new and better experience. http://www.examiner.com/article/wwe-2k14-ultimate-sliders-attributes-and-match-settings-part-2 Quote
StatutoryApe87 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Nice, I'll have to try these out in my game. Thanks! Quote
Alex™ Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Will be testing these out. Seems good man. Quote
Caveman Gamer Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 So far I have been having a lot of fun with these settings. Others have had good results as well. If anything, it is a good starting point to adjust for your own personal skill level. Let me know what you think. Quote
Nate Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Just had a few games with these sliders all 15 minute matches, normally my matches go up to 3 minutes max, thanks mate these work great. Quote

Alex™ Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Just tested out the sliders...Simply phenomenal. By far THE BEST match i've had on WWE 2K14 (Trust me, I got lots of good matches before this). Sami Callihan vs Kenny King on your Slider. An amazing slider/article. The match was pure wrestling. Back 'n fourth, not a reversal fest at all just pure wrestling, the match flow was just amazing. It like i was watching an awesome PWG match. No joke! This is amazing. Thanks man, u just got me back to playing WWE 2K14 again. This is a must use slider and a must read article. Looking forward to this next year! Edited March 1, 2014 by Alex™ Quote

I am more an indy/NJPW fan than anything, so that is what I strive for each year. It is as close as you are going to get to the way the old imported Japanese wrestling games used to play with the tools we are given. Until they give us Fire Pro type logic windows, this is about as good as can be done. Thanks for all the feedback guys. I am glad to know they work for other people as well. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Does the AI still always go for the pin after even running or standing strikes? Because that really annoys me more than anything, given that I just can't kick out for shit. If these settings help that, then i'd be super happy. Quote
Caveman Gamer Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Does the AI still always go for the pin after even running or standing strikes? Because that really annoys me more than anything, given that I just can't kick out for shit. If these settings help that, then i'd be super happy. I haven't noticed this. I know they always go for a pin after a signature which annoys me, but with these settings, I can almost always kick out of that. The AI usually won't go for pins until late in the match with these. They will try to go for some pins after regular moves late in a match, but I kind of like that because it makes it feel like they are desperate. One thing I really tried to do with these settings (and something I try to do every year) is improve the ratio of chain grapples to strong grapples. The problem is that out of the box, chain grapples outnumber groggy grapples like 3-1, but you end up doing groggy grapples about 70 percent of the match. So, you are doing 1/3 the amount of moves for 2/3 of the match basically. With these settings, you will see a lot more chain grapples and thus a greater variety of moves. Quote
AgeofSandow Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Gonna try these out. Looking for realistic sliders for WWE style gameplay and good AI vs AI sim quality for PPV matches. Quote
SassySlothh Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I'll give them a go when i get a new controller Quote
