FAQ On Being Banned

Ok, for those who don't visit the 2k forum... from Jared

Hey folks, 

Apologies for the delay but it took a fair amount of time for me to dive into this and find out how we handle moderation for WWE online content, who handles it and what that team's current direction is. Now that I've got that sorted out, I have some news to share.

First and foremost, it's important that I let you all know what the folks in charge of moderation are typically on the hunt for. In no particular order, the main targets are:

- Cheats in ranked gameplay (hacked CAWs and movesets)

- Offensive content (nudity, derogatory content, curse words, etc)

- Hacked movesets

- Hacked CAWs (invisible wrestlers, etc)

- Content promoting third-party tools in descriptions

- Descriptions containing offensive content (namely curse words)

It's also important that I let you all know that if you've downloaded content which resulted in the creator being banned, you won't be punished.. unless of course, you turn around and upload that content yourself.

Those who are banned for Community Creations receive a temporary 2 week ban, while bans served for ranked gameplay are permanent.

BUT I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS...

Those who have been banned from Community Creations will have to allow their temporary 2 week bans to lapse. That's just how the system works, so I apologize for that.

Now that I've had a chance to meet with and chat with the moderation team, I hope you'll find that they'll be a bit more relaxed in their efforts should your Community Creations not fall into one of the categories above. Again, apologies for the delayed response. Thanks!

Slipfan needs to remove all his caws that mark out to KG and his program before the ban hammer comes down on him and just reupload them with no description.  That tidbit about not mentioning 3rd party software was not said to me in my conversation with 2K or I would have warned people.

because stays said I deserve to be banned when he had to do all my hacking for the past 2 years and I said he was lame and then got insulted by the forum manger who wasn't even in the conversation and don't care this thread isn't about why or what my so called d bag friends this is about tryin to resolve an issue of people getting banned not about that other site Dramma

The only thing that worries me is I called 2k they couldn't tell me a reason so I appeal then I call back because the sent me an email for an Un ban from nba2k called them back the said it has been pushed to tier 2 but "if" this is correct me and spirito where banned on the same day the 15th so 14 days is the 29th I'll try and let you guys know

I find it Comical that you where shitting on this site and the nCo before you got banned and now because you have no other option you're on here.

They all do eventually...

when it comes to my being banned people on this site have been helpful and supportive

 

over there i get told i deseved to be banned get trash talked and im tired of posting my creations on a site where they think i should be banned being that my topic over there has almost 50,000 views i dont need them they need me and thats obviously why u keep commenting- Mole

 

Hopefully only 2 days left i will let u guys know if the ban is lifted (fingers crossed )

I was banned this past Monday and after reading a lot of these posts I feel a little more relaxed. Now I am understanding why I was banned simply for the fact I had uploaded caws with textures and had uploaded my own textures through a thrid party in which I gave credit for their help. I'm still a little iffy on downlaoding and uploading once I'm unbanned but I've got the time to sit back and see how things go as I have two weeks to wait.

 

On a side note, I think if they finally decide to update the creation suite that they should do what EA Sports did with Team Builder for NCAA Football. For those who don't know they had an online site where you could import logos for your created football team. Now if 2k did something like that with Paint tool then we wouldn't have a problem. It would also be cool if somewhere down the line they had something like GameFace but much better of course. These two are about the only good ideas EA has and could be of value to the WWE series.

 

Let me know what you think as I sit here and do the time for doing the "crime".

So the only thing I didn't understand is how quick some people turned and bashed someone for being banned? How stupid.. and you know who you are... anyways I was just going to say that I have been downloading tons of textured content and I've never been banned.. don't worry about this stuff people. .
