Thedeadmanrising Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Now I would like to talk about what needs changing, improving, etc. mostly changing and improving. I made this post because i saw post in and I also surfed the web to find updates about WWE 2K15. I want to everyone to post the stuff that needs changing, improving, to be taken out, etc. Now I will start off with what I think: -The Graphics! I am getting tired of seeing older games like SvR-SVR 10, Smackdown HTCP, Smackdown SYM looking better and more real than the games now. I definitely tired of the game models looking like plastic or rubber dolls. Basically it feels and looks like the don't put any effort in making the models. -The Gameplay and Features! Now I know a lot people hate how moves can be spammed from right and left and being unable to reverse. I look at older games and see how nearly all the moves can be reversed equally. Now moves can or can barely be reversed. Looking at how we have the ability to do so much more stuff in games like 08 and 07, then compare it to how the games are to day I say "what the hell were they thinking". Don't get me wrong i love OMG moments, ladder finishers, more features now, but why the hell some of those things were taken out like Mini games(07), Buried Alive, Season Mode, Challenge mode, etc. - The Commentary! I just get bored every time i listen to them. Listen to the King kissing ass and Michael Cole just being a douche just bore me. I miss how they conversate more in the older games. It use to be entertaining and funny. Now I going to say that i feel that they're going backwards than forwards. Now what are the thing you all feel need changing, improving, etc. because I feel that these things should be said. Edited February 19, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote
LastRide123 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Theyve absoutely removed some great moves/features...Walls of Jericho on top of the Ladder anyone? I dont believe theyve gone backwards completely, only a few things here and there as there were also a TON of improvements since every game u mentioned. As a "from day one" smackdown game fan, I truly believe that wwe 2k15 and on will be the games we have waited for. I think theyll be great graphics wise and gameplay wise. I think the ai will be more intuitive...although im pretty sure the games ai is based off of Brian Williams playing it...it think i read that or heard it somewhere..so heyd need to get rid of that guy and just do it right. 2k Games is goming to take the WWE series to the next level and beyond I believe. I see what your saying. But every nearly game (except maybe svr 2010) since SVR 2009 lost its lasting appeal or collecting effect. What most people do is trade in the that game was out along some old games for the sequel at gamestop. One guy said "for the past 3 or so years we have got the same game in a different box" and I totally agree. Every game since SVR 2011 has been the same just with a different theme. WWE 2K15 hopefully would be a great game and the era SOS will be over!!!! Edited February 19, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote
Tamer™ Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Season Mode needs to be in and they should take in a bunch of fan suggestions for stories so it doesn't go in circles very quickly Quote
best in the world Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 This is a loaded question! There are quite a few areas that have needed improvement for years and to list every single area is impossible. But the biggest improvements in my view would be: Graphics It is quite obvious from its debut on Playstation with the original Smackdown game, THQ[now 2K sports] are quite capable of much better in the graphics department. That is not to say there is much wrong with current graphics, but they definitely could be upgraded to reflect the leaps made in graphics since the original Playstation. The current gen systems being Xbox One & PS4, 2K has an opportunity to reboot the series in appearance and doing this will be a process. But they need to at least attempt to make an effort at changing the graphics to show fans how serious they are in doing the WWE games justice. Gameplay Gameplay is another area that hasn't changed much since the original games with a few yearly additions added here and there. Which in the span of a few years would be understandable. But, it has been virtually the same since WWF Smackdown on PS which spans a decade plus which is kinda lazy and not giving us what we are paying for. I understand that 2K has just taken over and it will be a few games before we see major changes, but they can implement refinements and additions that could change the direction of the series for the better. I want to see 2K succeed and changing the graphics/gameplay are the two most important elements in making this transition legit. Audio Audio is another area of these games that hasn't evolved much over the course of the game series. Commentary is a major element of this, to which is disappointing every year. The announcers sound too robotic and uninspiring like they are merely reading off of cue cards and no enthusiasm is evident in the finished product. It sounds bland, generic, and just awful at times. Lines are sometimes included that have nothing to do with the players in the ring which should be fixed. Another area needing improvement is realistic sounding effects like hitting the mat, arena effects, and weapon effects. All of these sounds wrong in current games and 2K should be looking into new methods of recording real life sounds and finding ways to incorporate them into the yearly games. The creation suite is fine currently but needs to be simplified so that anyone could recreate anyone past, present or future. Aside from that 2K might need to change their approach to season modes to make it last longer. Maybe like branching storylines with story editor that can last as long or short as you want them to. Each decision made in this replacement season can alter your storylines and change outcomes. Again, I realize these changes won't happen in one game but 2K seriously needs to look into implementing these details to make these yearly WWE games as authentic and fun as possible. Another problem has been glitches and bugs. 2K needs to reduce or eliminate the glitches before the games are released so that we can play them without any issues occurring. It takes away from the fun factor having things like WWE Universe freeze up when you are modifying simple details. Hopefully, all of these issues can be addressed enough within the yearly games so that each year more issues are taken care of and so that we get a quality game that is fun to play. Quote
BaconArmy12 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 The thing that I need to see in 2k15 is the commentary. Like BITW said, there's no enthusiasm in the lines, and it just doesn't feel realistic at all. The commentary in NBA 2k14 is tons better than the WWE game series's. 2K is capable of it, I'd just love to see them actually implement it into the game. Quote
Daulten780 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 They should add unique reversal animations for most of the moves, or just the finishers at least. Most moves had their own reversal animation back in SVR. Quote
