Question (DLC)

Didn't want to put this in the help section, as I figured it out myself. But its one of those things that I just want to know why (I like knowing stuff other than it just being that/done for me).

 

I was having trouble with adding my own DLC, the wrestlers wasn't showing up. After messing with the catalogue.dlc file, I noticed Tekken put dlc2 in the community DLC 1.

 

I opened it up in Le Fluffie along with mine (Pre-adding DLC) to see if there was any differences. And noticed this difference:

 

The one on the left is what Tekken supplied, whilst the one on the right was mine. I changed it and it ended up working.

 

But I just have to ask, how the hell was that figured out! I was looking all over here and talking to Petchy to see why it wasn't working. And it ended up being that which I'v not seen it mentioned.

Using the steps for DLC 1 and 2 will not work for DLC 3 and 4.

 

First unlock the bits in the DLC by opening the DLC 3 using hex and search for  FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 0F 00 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 0F this value.

 

Change the hex value to FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 01 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

 

Extract the catalog.dlc file from DLC 3.

 

Open catalog.dlc with hex editor and search for 40 00 05 

 

Copy all the codes from 40 00 05 to 65 20 61 74 and insert it after NWO dlc.

 

Now look for 44 4C 43 43 02 00 1C 00 03 00 12 00 04 and change the 04 value to 05 as you have added 1 slot.

 

Now open the catalog.dlc file using x-packer and edit it with the wrestler you want to add and his ID.

 

Open DLC with lefluffie and replace the catalog.dlc file.

 

Sign for devlive and fix.

 

Now you have successfully added the wrestler to your game.

 

Dont rebuild the DLC as it will corrupt it.

 

NOTE: This method works only for DLC 3 and DLC 4, doing this process in DLC 5(legends dlc pack) makes the legends pack to disappear from the game.

Thanks for the explanation! Could the hex for DLC 3 be used for DLC 2? ( FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 01 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF)

 

Only reason is mine in hex is FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 3F FF FF 00 00 00 01 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 3F FF FF and looking at a few peoples, theres is like the DLC 3 one.

Yes, it will work you must unlock characters for every DLC so that they will be shown ingame.
