ajleesus Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Anybody heard of Marvel Heroes? Looks cool I guess. I wanna try it because Black Widow's in it. And I may or may not be pretending that Black Widow is AJ Lee and I secretly roleplay as AJ online Quote
Pac. Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Anybody been reading the 3.99 weekly series Batman: Eternal? It's not worth it tbh. There's not enough going with it to keep me reading each week. Scott Snyder, you've let me down again. I do love Harper Row, though. She's become one of my fave memebers of the bat-family. Quote
principe Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 Haven't read it yet Pac thanks for the warining Has anybody read the finale issues of Superior Spiderman? cause if you haven't you're missing some good shit. Guardians of the Galaxy trailer 2 Ronan looks badass Has anybody see X men Days of Futures past? Did you enjoy it? Favorite X men member of all time? Favorite mutant of all time? Quote
JwabHDTV Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Saw X-Men: Days Of Future Past, loved it. Probably the best X-Men movie of all time so far. That end credits' scene is also a massive cock tease for the next one and I think it'd be safe to say, that end credits scene was the best end credits scene that we have ever had in a general Marvel movie. Fuck Amazing Spider-Man 2 for not having one that was ASM2 based. Going into it, I was ready to shit on Quicksilver cause when I first saw the pics.. I was like "FUCK, he looks so shitty" yet I forget that it's the 70s and it has to be at least realistic to a tee. He ended up being one of my favs in the movie and he makes me think that Super Speed is the best fucking superpower of all time. Really pumped for X-Men: Apocalypse. They confirmed that the new mutants joining the the X-Men in the 80s will be versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler. OH, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Which also leads me to believe that Toad & Havok will have their own storyline in the next one. It's also a safe bet that we can forget about the future storyline now that Apocalypse will be in the 80s. Do you think we'll see the Four Horsemen? As in Gambit & ArchAngel and such? I hope so. Magneto. Enough said. He's such a great bad guy. 1 Quote
jeb2830 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 They should have the old cast on the next movie, in the comics they don't face Apocalypse when they're that young Quote
thejim Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Marvel Studios is producing some great movies... Fox & Sony should lose the rights to the characters they have and have revert back to Marvel, more so for Fox and their future bomb of an Fantastic Four reboot film... I'm hoping that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,' s second is a lot better and they learned from their mistakes... DC/ Warner Brothers, did a great job on Arrow, and not liking that Poison Ivy's name was changed for Gotham (and considering it's on Fox, more than likely won't see a second season)... Disliked "Man Of Steel" and IMO was barely a Superman movie... Plus they seem desperate too catch up with Marvel Studios and rushing a Justice League film... Plus Zack Snyder should just go away, he has no respect for the fans, and should learn to take criticism... Plus David S. Goyer has no respect for comic characters or the fan also, calling She-Hulk "A giant green porn star" and saying that only fan boys would know who Martian Manhunter is... As far as the comic books, Marvel is producing some great stuff... Original Sin was the first company wide crossover (from either DC or Marvel) that got interested enough to buy... DC's "Dan DiDio Legacy Project" aka the "New52", should end and Dan DiDio, Jim Lee and Bob "I almost killed Marvel" Harras should all be fired... How DiDio & Lee keep their job, since most of the initial 52 titles have been canceled is beyond me... Quote
principe Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Here's a picture of the Superman suit from Dawn of Justice Quote
thejim Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 He still doesn't look the way Superman should look... Quote
principe Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) I don't think it has changed but I think he looks awesome with that suit honestly I kinda of think it looks better than the original suit he started with in the comics Edited July 3, 2014 by Prince™ Quote
thejim Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Nope nothing will look better than the iconic suit.... Plus the "Man of Steel" suit is too dark, Superman is supposed to be bright... Quote
jeb2830 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Red underwear looks good in comics and cartoons, I don't like it in real life tho Quote
thejim Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I respectfully disagree, it work for every actor to play him until Zack Snyder got his dirty hands on Superman... I'm sorry when I see a Superman movie, I expect the red trunks, the "S" curl in his hair, pretty much everything that makes Superman, well Superman... What I don't want to see while watching a Superman movie, is Batman... Needless to say I disliked "Man of Steel" a lot, and the costume was only a small part of it... In fact "Man of Steel" actually made me like "The Amazing Spider-Man" even more, because they both retold origins that didn't need to be retold and I hate when that's done... Quote
Fozy Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 He's right you know, the original Superman costume doesn't work in a real-life setting. It looks awful in all the movies. Man of Steel has the best look for both the actor and the suit. Not saying it makes the movie, but it sure as hell gives it some credibility. The worst part about people who love the source material too much is them shoving it down your throat, like fucking annoying religious people who come to your door. This was a problem with the recent film, Edge of Tomorrow. Fucking fantastic film, easily one of my favourites of the year. Then there's people who don't even want to see it/say it's terrible because it's not the exact same as the source material in that of All You Need is Kill. Pointless bickering. Quote

I and a lot of other people never thought the iconic Superman suit has ever looked awful on screen... The "Man of Steel" Superman suit, has the same problem with the "Dan DiDio Legacy Project" aka the "New52" Superman suit has: too much blue... There was a reason for the red trunks and yellow belt, and it was to break up the tons of blue in the suit... When I saw "Man of Steel", I felt like it strayed to far from the source material, like Fox is doing with the new Fantastic Four movie... Plus "Man Of Steel" was pretty much Batman Begins, but with a few minor changes... I also hated how Pete Ross was portrayed as a bully, and that Lana Lang's appearance was pretty much pointless... BTW if I never see Zod again I will be very happy, I'm sick of Zod... He's is the most overrated villain Superman villain of all time... As far as "Edge of Tomorrow" goes, myself I just had no interest in seeing it... Mainly because, I've had no interest in seeing a Tom Cruise movie in a very long time... Fozy Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Man of Steel was a pretty good film, it's a bit weird. The thing is, do you really want ANOTHER retelling of the same story? Different approach is always a good thing. Edge of Tomorrow is fantastic. Absolutely terrific. Tom Cruise is and always has been an awesome actor. Sure some of his films has been hit or miss, but this is by far his best roll in a long time. Quote

Different approach is always a good thing. I would rather have no re-telling of Superman's origin... Unless you have no clue to who Superman is, is there no reason to retell Superman's origin... Plus the way Zack Snyder has taken fans criticism of "Man OF Steel", is pretty shameful, he should take the criticism as a good thing... I won't being seeing Batman v. Superman, because of "Man of Steel"... If DC really wants to build a cinematic universe and have it be successful, Warner Brothers/DC need to get rid of David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder... I want DC to succeed, but not as long as these two have anything to do with it... Edge of Tomorrow is fantastic. Absolutely terrific. Tom Cruise is and always has been an awesome actor. Sure some of his films has been hit or miss, but this is by far his best roll in a long time. That maybe true, but not being a Tom Cruise fan, does take away from me seeing this or any other movie he is in... Quote
Fozy Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Okay, don't see one of the best films of the year due to petty reasoning. Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer have chops. You probably just shouldn't watch Movies/Tv Shows. Just stick to your comics. Quote
