nsieniski Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Here is a PSD template for Normals maps. It's kind of a reminder but it might be helpfull for some people. http://www.fileswap.com/dl/AQkZxlO76W/ Quote
jcsix Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Very very cool idea. Especially for people who are just starting out/not tested out editing the normals themselves. May I just ask what the extrusion/intrusion means? Never seen those words to explain normals/techniques. Quote
nsieniski Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Extrusion/intrusion are not especially a normals/technique vocabulary. It just means : Extrusion = Bump (detail sticks out) Intrusion = make a hole, carve (details sticks in) Hard to find the right words since I'm not english but it's easy to find on google.......... OverTheEdge Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Yeah, no. Those words describe it perfectly, and this was a great idea to come up with. I'm sure plenty, especially those who haven't delved into messing with the normals before, will find it useful. Quote
jcsix Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Yeah, makes sense. They did make sense without the words, just never seen used before. Heh. Quote
