How to add DLC to WWE13 [PS3]

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Finally here is the tutorial people have been waiting for, adding dlc to WWE13. I would really like to thank Tekken for showing me how this was done otherwise I would not be typing this out :)

Please note that I have not add a tutorial to fix the emotions of the models yet, so when you add dlc the model will be very slow and will get pinned easily...you may be able to work out how to do it :)

So here goes!

How to add DLC to WWE13 for PS3

Please read this before going any further…

If you are reading this guide I am assuming that you have a modded PS3 running CFW (Custom Firmware). If you do not have a modded PS3 then please do not ask questions about how it is done. This guide is intended for an audience who have a modded PS3 and wanting to learn how to add DLC to WWE13.

Disclaimer

I am not responsible for your files especially you’re save data, if you mess anything up it is your fault and yours alone. Please do the sensible thing and make a backup of your original files.
So let’s begin! Before you get stuck in make sure you have the following:

Prerequisites

Tekkens Xpacker
Aldos Bruteforce Save Data application
My Excel sheet - http://www.mediafire.com/view/bsujm3pfnicjmgs/def_values.xlsx
WWE13 Save Data
plistPS3.arc
plistPS3.def
plistPS3.h
Catalog001
Ch334.pac Razor Ramon WWE2K14

Preperation

I always prepare my folder structure before any mods are done..It keeps things tidy and in order.

1. On your C: drive create a folder titled Mods
2. Within Mods create another folder titled WWE13DLC
3. Now create the folder structure as shown in the image below:

Untitled_zps1d4a620a.png

4. Place your files into their respective folders, and again don’t forget to back up your original files!

Decrypting the save

1. Run Aldos Bruteforce Save Data application using ‘Run as Administrator’.

2. Using the Brute Force app browse to the following location to open your save.

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\WWE13_SAVE\BLES01699_SAVE\SAVE.DAT

3. Once the save is open select the save and press CTRL+D to decrypt it

4. Now the save is decrypted leave the Brute Force app open and continue to the next part.

Adding your DLC data to the save

1. Launch Xpacker and go to:

File>Open>WWE 13 Decrypted Save File (PS3)>Wrestler Info

2. Navigate to the below and open your save data

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\WWE13_SAVE\BLES01699_SAVE\SAVE.DAT

3. Double Click on Wrestler ID 58
4. Fill in the fields as below, you can change the values to your liking.

5. Once filled in click on Inject, you should now have an image like below

Adding the Entrance and Moveset

1. Within Xpacker do the following -

File>Open>WWE 13 Decrypted Save File (PS3)>Moveset and Entrance Data

2. Navigate to the below and open your save data

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\WWE13_SAVE\BLES01699_SAVE\SAVE.DAT

3. Locate wrestler The Rock  and click Extract, xpacker will extract the moveset data into your Save Data folder.

4. Now go back to your added DLC ( Wrestler ID58) and click on Inject and select ‘The Rock.moveset’. This will add Rocks moveset for you.

5. Now on the same Wrestler ID58 double click and add the Entrance Data as below and click on Inject. You can select any entrance you like but all values must be the same or the game will crash. But for this tutorial I would suggest you apply the same settings.

6. You have now successfully added DLC to your Save file

Encrypting the Save File

1. Go back to Aldos Brute Force app and select Save Data file
2. Now press CTRL+E, this will now encrypt your save for you.
3. Close Aldos Brute Force app as you now will no longer need it.

Editing the Catalog file

1. With Xpacker open go to the following –

File>Open>WWE 13 Catalog DLC File (Xbox / PS3)

2. Open up your catalog file at the below location

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\CATALOG_FILE\catalog001\info\catalog.dlc

3. Enter the details as below –

Untitled_zpsbee58e5c.png

*You cannot change the amount of dlc you have in the catalog file, once you have added 13 you then have to create another catalog file with a different catalog number and DLC content ID.

4. Click Save Changes
5. On your C: drive browse to –

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\CATALOG_FILE\catalog001

And rename the catalog folder to catalog005 as below -

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\CATALOG_FILE\catalog005

6. You have now successfully created a new catalog folder and file!

Changing the ch334.pac

1. Navigate to –

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\CH_FILES\ch334.pac

And rename ch334.pac to ch58.pac

2. Within Xpacker press ‘CTRL+X’
3. Navigate to ch58.pac

C:\MODS\WWE13DLC\CH_FILES\ch58.pac

4. Double click file name and make the below changes:

00033402>00005802
00033404>00005804

5. Your ch58.pac data is now ready to be added to the arc, def and h files.

Updating the h file

1. Open up your h file into notepad and add the following to the end of the list.

pac/ch/ch58.pac

2. Click on save

Updating the def file

1. Open up your h file into notepad and add the following to the end of the list.

pac/ch/ch58.pac

2. Click on save

Updating the arc

1. With ch58.pac open in Xpacker click on Add new data to arc.

2. You will be prompted for a def file number, use the Excel sheet I have provided and locate your ch58.pac (it should be at the end of the file).

3. Now enter the value 384 and click on OK, Xpacker will now add your data to the arc for you.

Exporting the files back to your PS3

By now you have modified all the necessary files required for adding dlc, the next step is to export them back to your PS3, you can do this by ftp or by a flash drive it’s your choice.

Below is a breakdown of where everything should go:

Save

/dev_hdd0/home/00000001/savedata

PlistPS3.arc

/dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01699-[WWE 13]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR

Def

/dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01699-[WWE 13]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR

H

/dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01699-[WWE 13]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/pac

Ch

/dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01699-[WWE 13]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/pac/ch

Now placed the Catalog and another copy of ch58.pac in the GAME folder

Catalog

/dev_hdd0/game/BLES01699/USRDIR

Ch

/dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES01699-[WWE 13]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/pac/ch

Great guide, haven't seen one in so much detail before (granted I've only seen a couple dozen threads on modding/injuecting).

Makes me wish I had a modded PS3 to try this out now haha.

Thanks so much for all the effort of putting together this awesome guide.  I will try this out today.

no problem, if you follow it to the letter you shouldnt have a problem. But as I said in the top post your models will need fixing in one or 2 ways.

Yes I see what you mean about the fixing part lol.  I will have a search around.  I successfully added Batista from 2k14 but i kept getting pinned way too easy.

If you inject say Batista into WWE13 Rocks pach file it should fix the issue but you will then also need to update your arcs and such.

Yeah I tried injecting him straight into a wwe 13 pach and updating the arcs but i still had the same result.   Could hardly move and the pinning bug.

Try the superstar attributes, see what they are set as?

I set the attributes to match batista's 2k14 ones and I still get the same bugs. Back to the drawing board lol.

In most of the series the pach files had a 64.bpe file that had to be injected in order to fix things, however looking at the pach for 2k14 files they do not contain this, try adding a superstar from WWE12 and injecting a 64.bpe from a WWE13 pach and see what happens.

I just had a look at a wwe 12 pach and it actually contains the 64.bpe, where as like you said the 2k14 pach's do not.  So what I have done is extracted a 64.bpe from a wwe 13 pach like you said and i am going to try injecting it into the 2k14 one.  How do I inject the 64.bpe if it's not there?  Do i have to use a dummy.pac and rebuild the pach?  Sorry if that sounds like a silly question, i've just never done it before.  Thanks again for all your help and patience.

Sweet

Can we add DLC in addition to the official DLC, or can does it just replace it?

Posted

Taker how do I successfully inject the 64.bpe properly?  I can't for the life of me figure it out!! lol.

Taker thank you very much. Could you write a tutorial on how replace models for 2k14 and tried every tutorial and no luck, please? Thank you.

Sorry taker, i didn't mean to sound impatient bud.  All in good tiime :-)

I want to swap a wrestler for another. I have tried to follow anabolica's tutorial but no luck. I would like to replace a wrestler for a custom mod for ps3? Thank you.

I saw an AI file somewhere in the 2k14 pac files, will have to take a look and see which one it is.

Well written tut. Hope you don't mind if it add it to my site? I like to maintain a collection of tutorials in one place.

Go for it Tekken :) I'll be writing more tutorials when I get a moment.
